Howard and Stella Chapman

The Chapmans were life long residents of Alvin.  Mrs Chapman was the proprietor of a local beauty shop for many years.  You will find vintage Beauty Supplies to include a Pink 1950-60's Hair Dryer/Chair with a foot lift.  She was also a collector of vintage & antiique Goblets: cordials to water from early american pressed pattern glass to Elagant depression era.   A collect of oil lamps including a fine amber Fostoria coin, Milk glass hand lamp, wall bracket lamps and more.

There is an extensive 1940 & 1950's collection of Alvin's own China Painting artist "Vera Rose"  Vera Rose pieces are sought after by many locals and loved by everyone.  She had a flair for painting beautiful roses and florals in  the Victorian style.  Items include a pair of yellow rose lamp bases, pair matching vases and coverd candy box.  A collection of soft pasatel wild roses including a cathedal window tray, a trinket box, small 2 handle  dish, ashtray and more.  a collection of hand painted mugs in fruits and florals and hand painted wall plates.  
Another ALvin Artist is Fairy Lanier.  Fairy is loved by everyone in Alvin and an excellant artist.  A beautiful traditional "Texas Blue Bonnet Field" landscape oil on canvas will be offered for sale
