* Cash, PayPal, Venmo, Tap, and Credit Card payments will be accepted. Basically, we accept payment methods that don’t involve IOUs or interpretive dance.

* Parking: Metered street spaces are available on surrounding blocks. There is also a downtown garage across the street. The lot between the old and new archive buildings is ONLY for staff, loading furniture, and those with ADA parking permits.

* This sale is for a good cause! Proceeds will help support the archives of the Austin History Center, so please keep the estate-sale haggling to a minimum. Your inner bargain hunter can take a little break for the sake of local history.

* All sales are final. Once it’s yours, it’s yours. No takebacks, trade-ins, or “my spouse said no” plot twists.

* Pack your own treasures. Please bring a bag with strong straps, especially if you’re a book hound.

* Watch Your Step and Handle with Care. The 1933 building has ramps, stairs, and other quirks. Mind your step and watch out for fragile treasures and fellow shoppers. Shop at your own risk. We hope you leave with wonderful finds and happy memories not a bump on your knee!

* Deep breath. There is no gold. There is no sterling silver. None. Do not contact asking about this.

* Have fun! Dig, discover, bask in the beauty of this historic building and enjoy the thrill of finding something you didn’t know you needed five minutes ago.

Historic Finds: A Sale Benefiting Austin’s Archives

Dig into Austin’s past—and discover something unexpected.

The Austin History Center Association presents a special sale benefiting the Austin History Center, featuring antiques, vintage books, ephemera, collectibles, and other fascinating finds with connections to Austin and Texas history.

These are not ordinary estate-sale treasures. Many items came from overstock at the archives, while others were donated by families with deep local roots. Together, they offer a glimpse into the people, places, and stories that helped shape our city.

And there’s more to discover than what’s on the tables. The sale takes place inside an extraordinary historic building designed in the Italian Renaissance/Beaux-Arts style. Come explore the architecture and beautiful interior while you browse for your own piece of Austin history.

Historic Finds. Vintage Treasures. Great Stories.
