All winning bidders are required to make full payment prior to request shipping estimate/arrangements.
1- Postage, shipping insurance & signature confirmation will be manually calculated after the sale for the entire group of purchases. If you have important questions, please feel free to call us at 972-503-6968.
2- This is a public auction and is conducted by a licensed auction company. There will be a 26% buyer's premium (Absentee bidders 21% buyer's premium) added to the high bid amount of each item won. Buyer's premium added to all invoices, unless otherwise stated in the catalogue. The auctioneer will open bidding at a reasonable price or the pre-bid amount on each lot,and may set bidding increments as he/she deems necessary. The auctioneer's decisions are final.
3- Lots will be sold to the highest bidder. Absentee bids will be treated as limits, if applicable. Mei Auctions reserves the right to refuse any bid and service to anyone for any reason. We reserve the right to pull any items at any time from our auction. We reserve the right to retract bids as we feel fit. All information regarding auction lot is subject to clarification, changes or disclaimer at the time the item is being auctioned and will be sold based on Auctioneer's verbal or written information at time of the sale. All bids via phone, email, or in person are final and binding regardless of Buyer's input errors. Auctioneer also does not accept liability for technology, website or internet failure, or unforeseen circumstances that may influence the execution of bids.
4- Wording, which is subjective, and other adjectival descriptions are the opinion of the Auction House. No warranty is expressed, implied or provided, since these opinions can and do vary among individuals; all bidders bid based on their own opinions of value. No lots may be returned by bidders.
4a- All "Estimated Values" provided are based on retail prices on comparable items in the current market.
5- All Sales Are Final.
6- All sales are strictly in U.S. dollars. Full payment includes hammer price, buyer's premium and all applicable taxes or card processing fee. All credit card payments are subjected to a 3.5% convenience fee. Mei Auctions may, at their discretion, hold winning items until check or wired funds clear bank account. If payment is not received within ten (10) days of the sale, Mei Auctions reserves the right to cancel sale and resell merchandise at auction. Failure to provide payment will result in revoking the Buyer's right to participate in future sales with Mei Auctions.
7-Immediate removal of purchased merchandise is requested when payment is received, and shall be done at the expense, liability and risk of the Buyer. All arrangements for removal will be at the convenience of Mei Auctions. Failure to remove merchandise immediately after completion of payment within the seven (7) business days following sale completion will be subject to storage fees of $10.00 per day per item. After 30 days items will be considered abandoned thus Mei Auctions will confiscate the items. Mei Auctions will apply any deposit to loss, damages, and expense incurred in the resale of merchandise not paid for in full or removed in the time specified and shall retain any balance as liquidated damages.
8- All payments are to be made in full as soon as the hammer falls. NO EXCEPTIONS. If we have not received payment in 10 days of the auction, a 35% reselling fee will be charged. You agree to allow us to charge your credit card on file after a 4 days grace period. Credit card payments are accepted with copy of credit card and personal ID.
9- Postage charges will be based on FEDEX and USPS rates, a handling fee of $10 per item and any costs for packing material (we are honest, and simply charge for boxes and packing material not for packing time and other ridiculous things of that sort). WE SHIP ITEMS IN ACCORDANCE WITH USPS or FEDEX PROCEDURE, SO IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE TO MAKE A CLAIM FOR A DAMAGED ITEM-THE CLAIM WILL NOT BE DENIED. Mei Auctions can provide in-house shipping service upon request according to buyer's situation, but does not accept responsibility of any resulting loss, damage or delay resulting in the use of in-house shipping service. If Buyer is required to arrange for their own shipment of merchandise, any and all liability of Mei Auctions is relinquished regardless of time item was paid for in full or how and / or when it was shipped or if merchandise has yet been received by Buyer. Items will be shipped and insured with delivery/signature confirmation at buyer's expense. IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE A SHIPPING CLAIM, YOU MUST KEEP ALL SHIPPING MATERIALS OR YOUR CLAIM WILL BE DENIED.

10- Bids on behalf of corporations must be personally guaranteed by one or more of it's officers. Any credit card payment made by a corporation is subject to a 4.25% charge. Each bidder is responsible for his/her bids, and cannot act for a third party.
11-The buyer is responsible for attorney, other judicial fees, and expenses involved in collection of outstanding invoices.
11A - Bidder further agrees, regardless of the auction's location, to indemnify and hold Auctioneer harmless from any claim, loss or damage as a result of the auction sale and to bear the risk of any loss or damage to any property included in said auction. IT IS THE BIDDERS'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CAREFULLY INSPECT THE ITEMS PRIOR TO THE AUCTION TO DETERMINE CONDITION, AUTHENTICITY, AND/OR USEFULNESS. BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO INSPECT THE PROPERTY PRIOR TO BIDDING. BIDDERS MUST ADHERE TO THE PREVIEW AND INSPECTION EXHIBITION DATES AND TIMES POSTED BY THE COMPANY. ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. NEITHER THE COMPANY NOR ANY CONSIGNOR MAKES ANY REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE: MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS, OR CONDITION OF AN ITEM, OR AS TO THE CORRECTNESS OF THE DESCRIPTION OF ANY ITEM, GENUINENESS OF AN ITEM, ATTRIBUTION TO A PARTICULAR ARTIST OR AUTHOR, PROVENANCE, OR PERIOD OF THE ITEM, OR AS TO WHETHER THE BIDDER ACQUIRES ANY COPYRIGHTS OR OTHER INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS IN ITEMS PURCHASED, OR AS TO WHETHER A WORK OF ART IS SUBJECT TO THE ARTIST'S MORAL RIGHTS, ROYALTIES, OR OTHER RESIDUAL RIGHTS OF THE ARTIST. BIDDER EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT IN NO EVENT SHALL THE COMPANY, ITS EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND/OR AUCTIONEER(S) BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY COMPENSATORY, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE.
11B- Bidder and Auctioneer agree to mediate any dispute or claim they may
have concerning the enforcement of this agreement. The mediation shall be held in Los Angeles, California or any other location agreed upon in writing by the parties to the mediation with the mediator selected by agreement of the parties. If the parties cannot agree upon a mediator, each party shall select an independent mediator and those mediators shall select a mediator of the
dispute. Should any party fail to mediate their dispute prior to turning to litigation, that party shall lose its right to attorneys' fees as stated below even if determined to be the prevailing party.
11C - In the event of any dispute concerning the enforcement of this
agreement, including an action for declaratory relief, the prevailing party in that dispute shall be entitled to their reasonable attorneys' fees in addition to any other relief to which that party may
be entitled.
11D - The Bidder and Auctioneer agree that this agreement shall be binding on
their heirs, personal representatives, successors and/or assigns, and that any changes to this agreement shall not be enforceable unless in writing and signed by both Bidder and Auctioneer.
12. THE COMPANY TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY AND ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR ANY COMMUNICATION OR TRANSACTION THAT YOU OR ANY BIDDER, SELLER OR THIRD-PARTY HAS REGARDING THE SERVICE. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES AND ANY SUCCESSFUL BID, AND YOU AGREE THAT THE COMPANY IS ONLY ACTING AS A PASSIVE MEDIUM FOR YOUR AND OTHER BIDDERS' AND SELLERS' TRANSACTIONS.
13- If you are the winning bidder, you must pay for the item, no exceptions. If you need immediate assistance please call our auction house at: 972-503-6968, if you wait until the auction is over to report a problem with a bid that resulted in a win, and do not pay, you will be charged a 35% reselling fee, subject to the 23% buyer's premium. NO EXCEPTIONS.
14- Please note: Bidding in this auction, whether in person or on the internet, constitutes full acceptance by the bidder of the foregoing terms of sale.
15- All terms and conditions are strictly enforced, with no exceptions. We have a "you win, you buy" policy. Please be advised that there is a 26% BUYER'S premium.
16-By accepting these terms and conditions, and bidding in our auction, you automatically agree to our "NO CHARGE-BACK" Policy.
