A unique opportunity to shop an expansive private collection of original Theodore 'Ted' and Sally Turner paintings! These acrylic and oil works of art range in style from mature to graffiti, with subject matter from beautiful seascapes to vast countrysides. Many give a sneak peek into the secret, sometimes sultry and seductive, lives of Turner’s subjects, portrayed in moody atmospheres from bedrooms to bars.

Ted Turner taught at The University of Virginia and maintained two studios in Charlottesville after his retirement. Recognized with many awards and certificates of distinction, he was popular for his abstract characters painted by broad brushstrokes in atypical palettes. Somehow, the mundane and otherwise unnoticed are brilliantly frozen in time by Turner, who painted until his passing in 2002. In 2013, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts organized a traveling exhibit entitled Virginia Vistas, where many of his pieces were awarded recognition at a wide variety of museums and galleries.

Many of these pieces are apropos in your more modern abode, but there are plenty with soft, muted tones, suitable for a more traditional environment.
