UNBELIEVABLE MID-CENTURY MODERN HOME!

This is a "one-of-a-kind" home.  If  a Hollywood "Rat Pack" movie and the series "Mad Men" had a house.... it would be this one!  This was the third home built on Rheims in 1958.  This home has had one owner and he built the home himself.  They hired a renowned Dallas interior designer.  The home is a mid century modern heaven.

Incredible!  I have been working in the house for days and  with each room there is something found that makes me say "INCREDIBLE."

This dining room set seats eight and is covered in purple and Chanel pink raw silk.  The mid century barrel chairs in the living room are covered in horse hair woven fabric.  A strong Asian influence is the common thread throughout the home.

In the "entertaining room" the furniture was custom built for the room.  There is a 12 foot sofa as well as a matching 8 foot sofa directly across the room.  There are 5 matching pedestal cocktail tables that should be in the Smithsonian.

There are two Master bedroom suites upstairs.  The headboard would be perfect for a "Doris Day" movie.  Great mid century modern complete bedroom sets.

Clothing, hats, shoes, gloves, jewelry and accessories (from Neiman Marcus, Lester Melnick, Lou Lattimore)... just to name a few.  The closets look like something from an Edith Head's Hollywood inventory list.

LOTS OF ARTWORK!   One piece from Italy... that won't last long.  The homeowner was an art lover and in the day attended a "sip and paint" session in Highland Park.  There are several of her original paintings along with many painting supplies (to include brushes, canvases, frames etc...)

Moving to the kitchen... you are going to see items that you haven't seen in decades.  This kitchen is FULL of China, Glass and Silver.  The kitchen table is a "work of art" itself.  Rattan and bamboo lazy susan in the middle.

I could go on and on!  JUST DON'T MISS THIS ONE!  I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER ONE LIKE IT!
