Incredible Morton Rachofsky Interactive Art & MCM Estate Sale

Every year Art tries to schedule at least one sale that people will remember for years to come – the hoarder in Oak Cliff, the dealer with two houses next to each other in Bluff View, the Oriental sale last year where people lined up beginning at 2 the afternoon prior to the sale. Well, this year he has found that sale.

He is liquidating the estate of businessman, mathematician, inventor and sculptor MORTON RACHOFSKY. This sale promises to be just different enough from his typical Park Cities’ sales to peak everyone’s interest – midi-Century modern furniture, great artwork from well-known artists, Mr. Rachofsky’s patented 25 hour clocks, over 300 pieces of re-arrangable art in wood, HDPE, steel, stainless, etc.

Mr. Rachofsky’s large two-story studio attached to his Bluff View home provides space to display his many works and provides them for sale to the public. Prior to this, his works were mainly commissioned for specialty display, sold at charity auctions or provided to select friends and family. His genius and his mathematical skills will provide the new owners with the options of leaving things just as purchased or changing to fit the space or the mood. We were fascinated and had to “play with” one or two of the sculptures just because they are so compelling.
