Lake Highlands Estate Sale

The heirs to this estate took very few sentimental items and left the balance for us to sell.  A large home with open floor plan that gives room to set up the sale, use tables and not have to crowd things up so much as to make it difficult to see.

This sale features some Mid-century Modern items, mixed with traditional and further mixed with a few unexpected items.  The best part is that it is clean and we did not have to throw out unusable items — even the linens have been washed and some have been ironed.  Two bedrooms with king-size beds, a large and fully-furnished office, leather sofa and La-z-Boy recliner, lamps, signed and numbered artwork plus some original oil paintings.

Lots of American pattern Fostoria, including serving pieces.  Kitchen has one of the largest sets of copper-bottom Revere pans that we have seen (and there are lids for everything).  The pottery, flatware and china sets are large because the family enjoyed entertaining.  Glassware runs the gamut from Waterford to good daily-use stemware and goblets.  Convenience-oriented appliances round out the entertaining supplies.  

Large appliances include a SAMSUNG washer/dryer pair, a side-by-side refrigerator, and upright freezer.  Televisions and ancillary electronics plus the CD’s, DVD’s and even tapes to go with them.  There is a large single-door wine cooler that holds 84 bottles.  

In the garage you will find three sets of golf clubs, tools, fishing items, supplies and all the expected collection of years and years of home ownership.

Closets are full of men’s clothing and some lady’s items.  

The jewelry is mainly 14K and some sterling (two charm bracelets).

It is not a huge sale by any means, but it is one with such a variety that you will hopefully find some treasures that just scream to go home with you.
