On June 22nd, 23rd and 24th we will be selling the entire contents of Yarborough’s Pharmacy on Piner St. just west of the Denton Downtown Square between Oak Street and Hickory Street. The pharmacy had been owned and operated for over 60 years by the Yarborough family and now that the pharmacy operation has been bought and relocated, the entire contents of the building must be sold immediately.

This sale will include show globes, hundreds of vintage metal pharmacy prescription boxes, lots of wood shelving, boxes of new unused plastic medicine bottles and lids of all sizes, old medicine bottles, pharmacy memorabilia, office furniture - old and new, security mirror, file cabinets, Torsion scales and weights for the scales, office supplies, old business machines, old magazines, (did I mention hundreds of plastic pill bottles). There is an Opus Medicine Delivery System, various pieces of vintage medical items. We have a number of older pharmacy reference books, including an 8th edition Remington’s. We also have for sale a large stock of printed pharmacy and office documents showing the Yarbrough’s logo at different times during the 60 year span of its business years.

The pharmacy shelving is of particular interest as it is very tall and not very deep. Some of the shelves are double-sided and some single-sided. There is a (newer) cash register and all of the normal items associated with a small pharmacy business operation. The prescription storage boxes are metal and certainly vintage.  The old counter system is also for sale. There are 2 safes. One is small and the other is much larger in the reception area. These shelves would be ideal for a booth in an antique mall or for a craft shop.  Although the plastic bottles are colored, maybe a crafter or jewelry maker could use them. Some of the shelves can be relocated and others have fixed shelves.

Also for sale is a 2002 FORD FOCUS which had been used as the pharmacy delivery vehicle.

We will be incorporating into this sale some items from a longtime local collector. He will bring quite a lot of very old wrought iron items, some railroad, and some simply old stuff.
