🪽 We are honored to assist Angels Via Michael close it's doors to the public after nearly 4 decades of serving the public. After 35 years as an Angel store, and countless more as Central Furniture Company, Laurie Knipp is retiring and closing down Angels Via Michael.

There's three floors of items for sale in this store. First floor is angels and religious items, second floor is furniture and Christmas, and third floor is small items such as picture frames, tupperware, baby items, vintage kids toys, bed frames, and more. And of course all the fixtures throughout the store are for sale as well.

1️⃣ First floor: Angels and religious items for every occasion. Birth/pregnancy, catechism, baptism, marriage, anniversary, death, pets, death of a pet, holiday(s), prayer, special occasions, family, and more. Items include a wide variety of teddy bears, ornaments, statues, religious art, inspirational quotes, picture frames (for all occasions listed above), cut crystal angels, religious jewelry, rosaries, pocket tokens, crosses, religious CDs, cards (in Spanish and English), prayer cards, books, pins, money clips, outdoor statues, religious Christmas decor, and more. Hundreds, if not thousands of angels and religious decor items. 

There are also store fixtures such as a wide variety of shelves made of metal wire, glass, and wood, standing glass display cabinets, ladder shelves, bookshelves, glass cubicle shelves, spinning display racks, spinning card holders, end tables, corner shelves, office desks, coffee with matching side tables in wood and marble, sofa and armchairs, china cabinet, and more.

2️⃣ Second floor: sofas, armchairs, sitting chairs, 6 seater wood dining room table, 4 seater (80's themed) round glass table, small office desks, dresser with mirror, fans, lamps in a wide variety of styles, picture frame, art, religious art, religious quotes, shelves, trundle beds, full sized cots, bed frames (wood and metal), queen beds and box springs, large rugs, double sided large wood display rack, multiple Christmas trees (boxed and assembled), Christmas ornaments, Christmas decor, fake florals and garland, and more.

3️⃣ Third floor: hundreds of pieces of new Tupperware. From spoons, to cups, plates, containers, serving ware, picnic items, keychain's, and even children's sets. Dozens of footboards and headboards in multiple sizes, bedframes, blankets, vintage kids toys, candles, greeting cards, pots and pans, small kitchen appliances new in box, books, baby crib, baby clothes, baptism clothing, folding strollers, ladders, wood, dozens of frames, small store displays for cards, hanging items, and small items.

🙏 For those looking to see Laurie, she will be at the store Friday and Saturday morning in a seating area right by the front door to talk to anyone who wishes to see her. She will stay as long as she likes, and is open to talking to anyone who wishes to hear her story, or who wishes to share their memories with her.

Dearest El Paso,

It’s with a mix of gratitude, love, and bittersweet reflection that we announce the closing of our beloved family businesses after more than 100 years of retail service to our community. The time has come to close our retail doors from what once initially started as American Furniture Co. (1912) later inspiring Central Furniture Company (1967), followed by our heart-centered home of Angels via Michael (1995).

A once small and modest angel-filled corner amidst the former family furniture store soon grew into a small taste of heaven on earth. It was after the tragic passing of son and brother Michael Knipp, Angels via Michael became not just a modest memorial, but a place where love, life, and loss blended in ways we never imagined. Our story has not been without its great challenges, and we are honored to have had the great opportunity to build a space for healing, connection, and hope.   

Your visits, smiles, hugs and blessings have made all the difference in our family and world. We are forever grateful to all of you who walked through our doors, shared your stories, tears, smiles, and hearts with us. El Paso, you have created a home in our hearts.

As we prepare to close this chapter, we open our doors and invite you to join us and Estate Sales By Freida for one final celebration. Angels Via Michael and Estate Sales By Freida will be hosting a storewide liquidation sale together Friday, Feb 7 – Monday, Feb 10, 2025. As we open our doors for the last time, we hope that our legacy will live on in the hearts of those we’ve served. We’ve been blessed beyond measure to have had this precious opportunity to create something truly special in El Paso. Thank you for your unwavering loyalty, love, and support. We are forever honored to have been part of your lives… and you ours.
