Estate of DONISE L. HARDY, CSA, a Los Angeles/Texas Casting Director, owner and founder of “A Casting Place”, with experience in casting of feature films, TV shows, industrials, and a leader in casting TV commercials for 29 years. Donise’s career began as a model and beauty queen in Florida from age 13-17, winning 21 titles out of 24 pageants including “Miss Junior Hollywood” and “Miss Fiesta Tropicale”. After moving to San Francisco, she became an actor turned talent agent, where she founded “Extra! Extra!” an Extras Talent Agency, before partnering with Joan Mickley and Eliza Hall to open the Bay Area’s largest Casting Studio covering both San Francisco and Los Angeles territories for 6 years. Donise moved to Austin in 1999 where she was one of the busiest casting directors in Texas covering the entire state. Donise retired in 2007 and sold her casting agency, “Casting Works LA”, but she missed working as a Casting Director so much that she came out of retirement and founded a new casting agency, “A Casting Place” in 2008 and continued to serve the Entertainment community until her passing in December 2022. Donise cast hundreds of commercials and dozens of films & industrials during her 29 year career in the Casting Industry.  She also taught classes specializing in commercial audition techniques, both locally and online, and eventually published a book, “Acting Career Basics: On-Camera Audition & Industry Tips” in 2016. Donise L. Hardy lived a life well-lived. She will be missed.
