Description & Details
There are times when the sale is simply fun because of the history or the house. This beautiful old family home sitting on over 20 acres in the center of town is a perfect location for a fun sale. The current family has owned it for about 50 years but it is still referred to as the Alford home because of the many years it was owned by that family. When the original family contacted the estate sale company regarding furniture and some decorative items that they had stored, it became a really good exercise to combine the original items in with the current family’s possessions.
Having a two dining tables and chairs in the main dining room may look strange, but I would eat there. Seeing the armoire and three sofas in the receiving room only means that a lot of people could have sat there. Two extra dining areas in the solarium is only unusual if you don’t like having meals in various places. Yes, it is over-furnished, but you will have a good time shopping with all this variety:
- Eight sofas, chaise lounges, fainting couches, etc
- 8 foot tall mahogany armoire
- Dining furniture
- Mirrors and wall decor
- Large Tremeau
- Buttercup sterling flatware
- Poppytrail “Peach Blossom” pottery
- Decorative wall art
- Books and collectibles
- Lamps
- Stuff, stuff and more stuff
Although there are not tons of antiques and collectibles, the sale has some really fun things and the setting makes it a great shopping experience. Look at the pictures to get an idea of what is there, surely you can find something out of all those many rooms.
