Born in Mobile, AL, in 1944, this gentleman's passion for music is evident throughout the estate, showcased by an extensive collection of musical instruments and equipment. A proud alumnus of Southern University and an esteemed member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Beta Sigma Chapter, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and a Master of Arts in Sociology from Texas Southern University. His intellectual pursuits are reflected in the curated library of books within the home.

A U.S. Army serviceman who completed a tour of duty in Europe, he later became a respected educator at Texas Southern University, where he served as a professor of Sociology and Assistant Dean for the Arts and Sciences Department. His smooth, melodic voice graced many events as the Lead Vocalist for Texas Southern University’s Ocean of Soul Band, and he was a valued Graduate Advisor for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Delta Theta Chapter.

In 1981, he founded Bruns Quality Services, a landscaping and construction business that transformed properties into magnificent estates. The estate features mini homes filled with tools, materials, and equipment used in his business ventures. A dedicated naturist, he cultivated a variety of fruits, vegetables, and plants, sharing his bountiful harvests with family and friends. The backyard is a testament to his love of horticulture, filled with plants, pots, small trees, and lawn equipment.

The estate also boasts an impressive African art collection, including ceremonial statues, masks, and figurines, displayed on exquisite furniture. Additionally, the gentleman's impeccable taste in fashion is evident in his collection of quality and designer clothes, shoes, hats, and accessories.
