Judy worked for the CIA stationed in lots of exotic worldwide locations. Some of which included Burundi, Africa, Bangkok Thailand, and Panama. She traveled these areas extensively collecting lots of art and trinkets. While she was stationed in Australia, she meet and married native Australian, Robert Welch. While in Australia, both became fast friends with a native Texan. Heno as she was known, worked for the foreign service also stationed in equally exotic places. On her passing, Judy and Robert acquired many of her trinkets from Heno's world travels. Heno was stationed in places such as China, Mexico, Peru, and Germany. Robert had a love of Aboriginal art, while Judy showed a fondness for pieces from New Mexico.
