Description & Details
We will sell with limited hours of operation between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday only to comply as we try to cooperate with the HOA for the area in which our sale is located.
You will find artists popular during the 1950's-60s-70s and interesting decorative accessories that range from pottery to an ecclectic collection of glass and crystal figures to jade, rose quartz, and ivory figures. Rugs are in a desert palatte and include runners and a large room size rug. Two rugs are black and natural, combinations not often seen.
Artists include: Houston artist Jim Howard Rabby impasto impressionistic works, Guzman framed art and ceramics, Sasha Brastoff ceramics, Hugh Herbeck, Tol Ratekin, Carole Orr nudes, Cordet, Timbili, Cocke and Virginia Berry abstracts and impastos, Itzchak Tarkay and other Isreali themed pieces that make you smile, and skilled Batik artists as well as other works from black and white sketches to unsigned abstracts. At times the signatures are illegible but the work is interesting. The owner had a flair for choosing unusual pieces from various mediums to create this unique collection.
The cabinet used as a china cabinet offers unique storage with its portable, rolling server that nests beneath the main section when not in use. A chrome and glass game table is stylish. The chairs have Lucite back sections and black seat upholstery. The Henredon sofa has been re-upholstered in dramatic black and white and there is a coordinating open arm chair with wood frame and a long black Parsons-style table with a banding of the same fabric.
Rosenthal "Sansoucci" china and Rosenthal stemware, Princess Elizabeth sterling by National, the very difficult to locate Georgian Shell by Concord sterling, Henredon bedroom campaign style furniture, Lucite lamps, tall brass lamps, chrome and glass, teak and exotic woods are part of the sale. There are four giraffes by Kosta, a pair of small birdsm an owl, and a figure signed Lalique, a large swan collection of mostly dinutive sizes (crystal, porcelain, other), Murano glass, jade birds and horses, ivory, coral, and other beautiful and interesting small objects to tempt you. There are four Kosta giraffes.
Please check back. If any regulations change, we will post them here. Otherwise, we will see you between 12 and 5:00 Friday and Saturday.
