Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder, you are committed to purchasing and picking up your item(s).
If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked from CTBids and you will be reported. Please do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
If you bid, you MUST be available to pick up your purchases on the scheduled pick up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements.
CTBids auctions soft close. This means that a bid placed during the last 4 minutes of a listing will extend that listing in 4-minute increments until there are no further bids.
After You Win
A 15% buyer's premium will be added to the bid amount. Sales tax, if applicable, will be added to the bid amount.
Invoices will be sent out once the sale has completely closed. Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice.
Payments are to be made through PayPal, with a PayPal account or major credit card.
If you purchase multiple items, they will be grouped together on one invoice.
All items must be paid for before they are picked up.
If we do not hear from you within 48 hours of the auction's close, your items will be resold to the next highest bidder and your bidding privileges will be revoked.
Pickup Day
The street address of the pickup location will be on the invoice.
Any items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.
Please bring necessary tools and help for picking up large items. Loading assistance is not available.
Shipping
Shipping is available for some items at our discretion.
If you require shipping, please contact LBleichwehl@CaringTransitions.net before bidding. All items that are shipped will be sent via USPS. Bidders will receive a separate PayPal invoice for shipping charges.
The shipping invoice will be sent as soon as possible, but depending on the size of the sale, it may be a few days.
We have made every effort to describe every item as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. Short BIO of J. Rodriguez:
J. Rodriguez was born in October of 1934, he was the youngest of 12 siblings. He studied as an artist at both the Fox Tech in San Antonio and at the San Antonio College of Arts. He was on his way to the Korean War when the plane turned around and came back to the states. He then served in the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years. He worked all week for the Postal Service, but his passion was art which he pursued on the weekends. He became a lifetime member of the San Antonio Starving Artist Association in the La Villita Historic Arts Village which is adjacent to the Riverwalk in downtown San Antonio. He enjoyed painting depictions of the early San Antonio Mission as well as Western and Gothic portrayals. He passed away in April of 2018, but his artwork lives on as a testament to the history and culture of San Antonio.

· Sun-Aztec Dancer - Unframed oil painting of Sun-Aztec Dancers is signed by Rodriguez and dated 2011 in the lower right corner
· Alamo Street Restaurant & Theater - This unframed oil painting features a historical church that has been turned into a restaurant and theater and is now believed to be haunted.
· Portrait of Ricky Martin - This unframed oil painting is of Ricky Martin from his 1999-2000 tour. It is signed by the artist, Rodriguez in the lower right corner
· Boat Tour on the San Antonio Riverwalk - This unframed oil painting captures the beauty of a boat tour on the San Antonio River Walk. The evening lights from the famous Casa Rio restaurant reflect in the water. It is signed by Rodriguez and dated 2005 in the lower right corner.
· Frida Kahlo - This unframed oil painting captures the portrait of a woman holding 2 small monkeys with 2 other monkeys peeking through the leaves in the background. Written/signed in the lower right corner is "copied by J. Rodriguez".
· Mexican Hat Dancer - This unframed oil painting features a traditional Jarabe Tapatio (or Mexican Hat) dancer with the silhouette of a guitarist on a stool in the background. It is signed by J. Rodriguez and dated 2005 in the lower right corner.
· Harpist - This unframed oil painting features a harp player in the foreground and a stone pillar building with vines growing up the right side in the background. It is signed by J. Rodriguez and dated 2015 in the lower right corner.
· Texas Bluebonnets - This framed oil painting features a beautiful Texas landscape with bluebonnets, cactus, a windmill, and a house. It is signed by J. Rodriguez and dated 2009 in the lower right corner.
