The McNaughton's served their country in the Foreign Service abroad, living in Brazil, Portugal, Sri Lanka and Egypt. Betty later rejoined and worked for the State Department from 1993 until retirement in 2001. During which time she worked as Secretary to the Ambassador at the U.S Embassy in both Kuwait and Damascus Syria. After retirement Betty moved to Texarkana, during this time she enjoyed working with Art and expressed her gifted talents, which can be seen and enjoyed throughout her beautiful estate.
