Herman Krehmeier is a descendant of the Krehmeier family who owned a sweet home on S. Bridge Street, in Victoria. As a young pup, Herman Krehmeier enlisted in the USMC during WWII after he graduated from Patti Welder High School in 1943. He was stationed in Saipan and Nagasaki during the war. Many items from that time period are in this sale.
Herman married Joyce Schobel in 1948. They have four children, Linda, Karen, Tom, and David. He worked for Temple Lumber Co. and then worked for many years in the construction business in Victoria and was a past president of The Victoria Homebuilder's Association. He retired from Zarsky Lumber Company in 1991.
Joyce Krehmeier worked at Victoria Bank & Trust before she had children and kept a lovely home.
Many Vintage VB&T items are in the sale due to Herman Krehmeier inheriting items from his Uncle, Marvin Salziger, who worked for VB&T.
