The owner of this condo unit is very much alive but has recently moved into assisted living. So she is obliged to sell nearly everything in her Montebello condo unit. You have the privilege of being able to select from among antique and new items in the way of furniture, framed items, rugs, glassware, and Towle "King Richard" sterling flatware. The view from her screened balcony is sensational. The patio set there is also for sale.

This person had sophisticated taste in furnishing her apartment. Upon entering, you will see vintage Kazak rugs of different sizes, plus an antique British entryway piece having mirror flanked by hooks for hats/coats, over a bench seat with umbrella holder on the right side. The great variety of books on the custom-built bookshelves will tell you the wide range of her reading interests.

The dining room features a plateglass table surrounded by six Chippendale-style side chairs with seats upholstered in an Asian theme. The FINE Hepplewhite-style sideboard is a reproduction by Hickory Chair. It is topped by a silverplate tea service. You will not miss the FINE hanging Chinese screen over the sideboard. Other Chinese-theme items you will find on tables and counters as well as souvenirs from world travels.

The most significant items in the dining room are two framed woodblock prints by Fumio Fujita. These two are among the abstract design prints he made. Do your price research on these before you come to the sale. Acquiring them will be a rare opportunity for the collector. A third Japanese woodblock print is an antique one, depicting a theater personage, made by Utagawa.

To the left of the sideboard is a diminutive display/storage cabinet in two pieces with locking key. Its size will enable you to use it in one of several rooms of your choice. Also in the dining room are: an antique 3-drawer marble-top dresser with replaced ceramic knobs, a round antique ebonized table is in another corner. For those of you like Beidermeier style, we offer you an antique bookcase/display case with open shelves.

We have taken the multitude of glassware out of the corner cupboard and set it on folding table that we brought in. The sterling and serving pieces we present to you in a display case we have set up along a living room wall for easier viewing. Enjoy perusing the items.

The sitting room offers you two very special antique pieces. One is a massive writing table with base cabinets that swing out on hinges and a smaller antique writing table with glass top. It will certainly appeal to the man who wants to feel the executive image of a century ago. It is quite serviceable. The second is a smaller but again exceedingly useful antique writing table. Note the FINE bronze inkwell on it. Take time to look around at the smaller items, probably souvenirs from around the world. Someone spent a lot of money to have the antique chairs in that room reupholstered. Don't forget to study the fine framed print awaiting you cat lovers when you enter this room. It is hanging on the left wall.

A 4-poster bed dominates the master bedroom. We believe that it was reduced in size to accommodate a double-bed size mattress. It is made of black walnut, a most desirable wood. It is flanked by antique tables. A slightly curved kidney-shape settee is also there, upholstered in white and clean.

So, plan on coming for a good air-conditioned time.
