ABOUT REBECCA.
Rebecca Babcock Rosser, "Becky", lived in Appomattox the majority of her 86 years, and as a registered nurse she cared for countless citizens of several generations. A consummate nurse, she was also a collector of antiques, artwork and unusual decorative items. She and her husband Jesse spent many happy hours searching for treasures, refinishing many pieces themselves. The home where she lived for over 61 years is filled with these articles and artifacts, more than her children are able to keep or do justice to. In her estate sale are ancestral pieces from the Babcock, Moore, Scruggs and Rosser families, items from the original Babcock House, as well as furnishings bought at local auctions and estate sales over the years. Her estate also includes several books written by her uncle, Dr. Havilah Babcock. Becky would be so happy to share this part of her life with the community that she loved!
