      This is a downsizing sale.  Our clients have moved out what they are taking, which leaves assorted good quality items including vintage collectibles.  The first books you will encounter are in the office to the right of the entryway, along with desk and 5'x8' rug.  The living room on the left includes a cedar chest designed as a mahogany chest of drawers (rather unique), 3-panel standing black folding screen, plus FG700 Yamaha guitar and Mortano guitar.  We have put up tables there and in the dining room to display the Haviland "Windsor" pattern china plus "Old Master" sterling by Towle, also plates featuring cats, and old Noritake.  We have placed framed items, now taken off the walls, along the walls on the carpeting.  One is a desirable Delacroix Paris print.The kitchen offers you an assortment of kitchenware, a Colonial-style hutch by Bassett in maple color plus a set of 4 ladderback chairs. 

     Upstairs we have left piles of items in two rooms to give you the "joy of the hunt".  You will find many craft supplies, 2 old quilts ready to be recycled, skeins of yarn, handbags, MUCH other "stuff" including wedding dress.

     The second set of books you will encounter in the white built-in bookcases downstairs, along with white wicker furniture, doll furniture, LPS from the 70s-80s, Carrom game board, wall clock in the form of a black cat with moving eyes, CocaCola wall clock, collection of beer can openers.  A fine tall chest of drawers sits around the corner.  We have also left the large basement room mostly as we found it for you to enjoy going through items:  radio flyer wagon, parachute jump boots, bicycle, tool chest, seasonal decorations.  The garage has hand and yard tools for you.

     Please bring empty boxes and canvas satchels with you because we have none to offer.

     NOTICE:  Following this sale, we will be doing an 8-day sale in a townhouse at 1036 North Royal Street in Alexandria.  Because of the large quantity of items packed into this townhouse, also because of the high value of some items we are planning as follows:  Thursday, 06 August, private sale by appointment only, followed by Fri-Sun, 07-09 August open to the public.  We hope that these 4 days will free up enough space for us to bring down items from above the 2 main floors. Then on Thursday, 13 August, we will do a second private sale by appointment only, followed by Fri-Sun, 14-16 August, open to the public.  This sale will be much talked about.  It includes a few Italian marble carvings including a 19th century Borghese female nude statue, FINE Polish wall weavings, artwork by Enzo Cini, many nativity sets, obelisks, crystal, much artwork of many types.  We will post 50 photos plus the sale announcement on our website ONLY on Monday, 03 August.  So, if you are interested in coming to the private sale days, please send us an email.  We will respond as we have time, offering specific time slots.
