Registration: Welcome to CTBids! If you are new to our site, you will need to register and add a payment method to your account to place a bid. To register, click the Registration button in the menu bar at the top and type in all required information. Then you may sign in and bid. Bidding: You must be signed in and add a valid payment method to your account on file to place a bid. Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item if it is the high bid. Don't forget that you can place a maximum bid and the system will bid automatically and incrementally for you up to your maximum.
Winning Bid: By providing your credit / debit card, you authorize CT of VAB East to charge your primary card for the total purchase amount of any winning bids, plus applicable taxes, shipping and handling fees. If payment method fails, CT of VAB East may attempt other cards on file, pursue collections, and apply late fees or interest (not exceeding the maximum allowed by law).
Bidding Commitment: Placing a bid is a binding agreement to purchase. If you win, you are required to complete payment and arrange for shipping (if applicable). Do not bid if you do not intend to follow through.
Payment: Payment must be fully completed within 24 hours of auction close. *If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBids and view Invoices/Receipts.
Pick-up: SATURDAY, JANUARY 10, 2026, from 9:00 am to 12 pm (NOON) in CHESAPEAKE, VA 23322. The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices. You MUST bring all necessary help, vehicles, materials, etc. for lifting and loading won items. Staff is not authorized to assist at pick-ups.
Shipping: Shipping is available on select items only (no rugs, furniture, or large items) at buyer's request and expense. Please see our Terms & Conditions on the listing above.
SHIPPING NOTE: Please make sure your address is updated in CTBids BEFORE placing a bid. Items will be shipped to the address that appears on your invoice for that auction. If you have not updated your address, Caring Transitions is not liable for items sent to the wrong address.
Terms: All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Please check the photos and descriptions before placing a bid. All sales are final. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold with no refund. Non-payment of your invoice by the payment deadline or non-attendance at the pick-up may result in bidder account suspension. For full Terms & Conditions, please see the aforementioned on 'Bidding'.
Express Checkout: By having a credit card on file, you agree to the card maintenance terms outlined above under ' You also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method. Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law. A shipping or delivery invoice will be created, and charges will be discussed between you and the Seller; a shipping or delivery invoice must be paid before receiving items. If you do not elect a fulfillment method and do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on our Terms and Conditions or your receipt, Caring Transitions reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling and shipping charges or a $40.00 restocking fee and may ship the item to your address of record. You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions.
