By registering to bid with Ararity Auctions you are expressly agreeing to these terms and conditions, shipping policies, and payment policies. All sales are final. Ararity Auctions endeavors to accurately describe and photograph all items being sold, however, all items are provided as is, where is, and with all faults without any warranties. All property is offered and sold in as-is/where-is condition at the time of the auction, with all faults, including any hidden defects of any nature. Ararity Auctions does not make any guarantee on the representation of an item, condition, correctness of titles or descriptions, genuinity of any items, attribution to artists or designers, period of the item, value, source, authenticity, and/or any other aspect or characteristic of such property. All items must be picked up by 15 days of auction end. Any items remaining in our possession after this point will be deemed forfeit and subject to relist or disposal with no refunds offered. We are happy to work with our bidders on longer-term storage if communication has been established.

You agree that any provided photographs of lot(s) are adequate for your purposes and you have had fair opportunity to ask questions of Ararity Auctions. Please note catalog photos may have had modifications via processing or otherwise that may, in some cases, cause variation in color or appearance.

Ararity Auctions does not provide returns or refunds. You hereby acknowledge and agree all sales are final with no refunds or returns. Ararity Auctions functions as a sales intermediary for individuals, estates, and trusts, facilitating the consigned property's sale. By participating in this auction and placing a bid on a lot, you are forfeiting any rights to retract your final bid once the item(s) or lot is declared sold or to annul the contract formed as a result of the final auction sale.

Ararity Auctions and/or its consigners reserve the right to use all available methods to rectify non-payment or non-compliance with these terms and conditions. These terms nor any provision hereof may be modified, amended, or waived except by written permission of Ararity Auctions. Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition



Ararity Auctions is proud to partner with Del Ray Artisans, the Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia (SONOVA), and the Symphony Orchestra League of Alexandria (SOLA) for a celebration of art, music, and community in Alexandria, Pictures at an Alexandria Exhibition.




This collaboration has produced a unique, creative dialogue between visual artists and musicians—bringing sound to canvas in a truly one-of-a-kind experience.




At 3pm Saturday, May 30, SONOVA will perform live at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center at Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus. Tickets are available on the SONOVA website. The program includes:

Grand Canyon Suite, Ferde Grofé ~ Movement 4 ~ Sunset

Dances of the Knights from Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet Ballet

Billy the Kid Suite, Aaron Copland ~ Movements 6, 7, 8: VI Celebration, VII Billy’s Death, VIII The Open Prairie

Mississippi Suite, Ferde Grofé ~ Movement 3 ~ Mardi Gras




At 6 pm Sunday, May 31, Ararity Auctions will conclude the online auction of works by local artists who drew their creative inspiration from these four works of music. Bids will be accepted throughout the month of May.
This auction is a result of months of work by Del Ray Artisans to organize this call to artists and curate the selection of works seen here. The artwork will be featured digitally during the May 30 concert.




Proceeds from the auction and gala will directly support the missions of SONOVA and Del Ray Artisans, helping to sustain live performances, community programming, and opportunities for artists across the region.



To participate in this auction, please create an account on LiveAuctioneers, add a payment method, and register for the sale. Live bidding will begin on May 31 at 6 PM EST, and absentee bids may be submitted throughout the month.
