Since 1963 this house has served as home to one family. The patriarch’s and matriarch’s ancestors were prominent Bedford County residents and family homes included historic Avenel House in Bedford. We are extremely honored to have been selected to represent the family in the deaccessioning this household of treasures. Included in this sale, only possible because the remaining family has downsized, are ancestral antiques of importance from Bedford and surrounding counties, Shenandoah Valley and more. Also included is a lifetime of items carefully curated by the couple through their decades of marriage. In this sale you will find toys from their and their three children’s childhoods, vintage clothing dating to at LEAST the 1950s and earlier, designer dresses and more.
