Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms??) govern all purchases, sales, services, consignments, auction participation, and interactions with Coins & Silver and Kiana Numismatic & Jewelry Limited (“KNJ,?? “Company,?? “we,?? “us,?? or “our??). By accessing our website, placing an order, consigning items, selling items to us, or participating in auctions or private sales, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Humanity invented 47 different payment processors just to make buying coins more complicated than filing taxes. Naturally, lawyers had to get involved too.

1. Business Overview
Coins & Silver and KNJ specialize in the purchase and sale of fine jewelry, diamonds, gold, silver, bullion, coins, and other precious metal items. We serve individual collectors, dealers, estates, investors, and commercial clients throughout the United States.
Certain transactions and auctions may be conducted through third-party platforms, including LiveAuctioneers.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to conduct business with us.

3. Pricing and Product Descriptions
All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
Product descriptions, weights, gemstone details, dimensions, and precious metal content are provided to the best of our knowledge and according to industry standards.
Estate, antique, vintage, and pre-owned items may exhibit normal wear, patina, or minor imperfections consistent with age and prior use.
We reserve the right to correct pricing errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or typographical mistakes at any time without prior notice.

4. Payments and LiveAuctioneers Transactions
Full payment must be received and cleared before any merchandise is released or shipped.
Purchases made through LiveAuctioneers are processed exclusively through LiveAuctioneers’ payment systems and designated third-party payment processors.
KNJ and Coins & Silver do not process, store, access, or manage bidders’ credit card information or payment credentials for LiveAuctioneers transactions.
Payment Responsibility Disclaimer
Any payment-related matters, including but not limited to:
Declined transactions
Chargebacks
Payment disputes
Credit card holds
Unauthorized transaction claims
Banking issues
Refund processing
Fraud investigations
Payment processor delays or technical issues
must be addressed directly between the bidder, LiveAuctioneers, and their designated payment providers.
KNJ and Coins & Silver shall not be held responsible or liable for payment processing issues, banking disputes, processor errors, chargebacks, or any financial disputes arising from the use of the LiveAuctioneers platform.
By participating in any auction through LiveAuctioneers, the bidder acknowledges and agrees that all payment processing responsibilities are handled solely by LiveAuctioneers and its authorized third-party providers.
Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation of the transaction, resale of the item, suspension of bidding privileges, and/or reporting to the auction platform.

5. Shipping Policy and LiveAuctioneers LiveShip Disclaimer
LiveAuctioneers LiveShip via NLS
For bidders who choose to use LiveShip via NLS offered through LiveAuctioneers:
KNJ and Coins & Silver are not affiliated with, responsible for, or involved in the operation, management, packaging, insurance, transportation, or delivery services provided by LiveShip via NLS.
By selecting LiveShip via NLS, the bidder acknowledges that all shipping services, insurance coverage, claims handling, packaging, and transportation responsibilities are administered solely by LiveAuctioneers and/or its designated shipping providers.
Any issues involving delayed delivery, lost packages, damaged shipments, missing items, insurance disputes, non-delivery, or shipping-related claims involving LiveShip via NLS must be addressed directly with LiveAuctioneers and/or the designated shipping provider.
KNJ and Coins & Silver shall not be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, delay, delivery failure, insurance dispute, or shipping claim arising from the use of LiveShip via NLS services.
Because apparently one shipping label now requires four separate corporations and a small sacrifice to the logistics gods.
No Local Pick-Up Policy
Local pick-up is not available under any circumstances due to insurance liability restrictions and contractual obligations.
All purchased items must be shipped using an approved shipping method.
Buyer-Arranged Shipping
Buyers may arrange their own independent shipping service at their own expense and risk.
For buyer-arranged shipping, KNJ and Coins & Silver will coordinate shipment using USPS, UPS, or FedEx only.
All shipments arranged directly through KNJ and Coins & Silver include packaging materials, handling, third-party insurance coverage, and adult signature confirmation when applicable.
For shipments arranged directly by KNJ and Coins & Silver, we accept responsibility for packages lost or damaged in transit, subject to the terms, limitations, and coverage determinations of the applicable third-party insurance provider.
Any shipping loss or damage claims must be reported promptly and may require photographs, documentation, and cooperation with the insurance claims process.
Carrier Disclaimer
Carrier delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
KNJ and Coins & Silver are not responsible for delays caused by weather conditions, carrier disruptions, labor shortages, transportation interruptions, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. International Shipping Policy
International shipping is strictly prohibited.
We do not ship to freight forwarders, exporters, or addresses outside the United States.
Any attempt to export purchased items internationally voids all guarantees, return rights, and liability protections.
We are not responsible for customs issues, seizures, losses, damages, or delivery problems related to unauthorized international shipment attempts.

7. Taxes and Fees
Buyers are solely responsible for all applicable sales taxes, use taxes, duties, fees, assessments, and government-imposed charges associated with their purchases.
For transactions conducted through LiveAuctioneers:
All tax calculations, tax collection, exemption processing, and related administration are handled exclusively by LiveAuctioneers and its designated payment processors or tax service providers.
KNJ and Coins & Silver do not calculate, determine, collect, verify, or manage sales tax obligations for LiveAuctioneers transactions.
Any issues regarding:
Tax charges
Tax exemptions
Resale certificates
State tax documentation
Refund requests
Tax payment processing
Disputed tax amounts
must be resolved directly with LiveAuctioneers.
KNJ and Coins & Silver shall not be liable for:
Incorrect tax calculations
Denied exemption requests
Tax refund disputes
Payment processor tax errors
State or local tax compliance matters
Any tax-related disputes arising from LiveAuctioneers transactions
Because tax law is one of humanity’s most determined attempts to transform arithmetic into emotional damage.

8. Returns and Refunds
We offer a 7-business-day return period beginning on the date of confirmed delivery.
Return requests must be submitted in writing within this timeframe.
Returned items must remain in original, unaltered condition and include all original packaging and accompanying materials.
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and insurance expenses.
Original shipping charges, handling fees, and payment processing fees are non-refundable.
Final Sale Items
The following items are final sale and non-returnable:
Bullion products
Melted or scrap items
Custom-made or altered items
Items modified after delivery

9. Authenticity and Condition
All items are guaranteed authentic and substantially as described at the time of sale.
Assessments of gemstones, precious metals, grading, and condition are subjective and based on industry standards.
Differences in third-party grading opinions or evaluations do not constitute grounds for return unless a material misrepresentation can be demonstrated.

10. Selling Items to Us
Sellers must certify lawful ownership of all items presented for sale.
We reserve the right to verify identity and comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Payment terms will be disclosed at the time of transaction.
All transactions are considered final once payment has been issued.

11. Appointments and Communications
Visits are by appointment only unless otherwise stated.
Typical response times for calls, emails, and inquiries are approximately 1-3 business days.

12. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the item in question.
KNJ and Coins & Silver shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from any transaction, shipment, platform usage, or service.
We assume no liability for shipping carrier delays, losses, or errors beyond our reasonable control.

13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless KNJ and Coins & Silver from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of our services.

14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
