REGISTRATION: Welcome to CTBids! If you are new to our site, you will need to register and add a valid and current credit card to your account to place a bid. TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Bidder Terms and Conditions apply to auctions, whether CTBids or Onsite Estate Auctions conducted by VA Beach Cares LLC dba Caring Transitions of Virginia Beach East (CTVBE) and constitute a legal, valid, binding and enforceable contract between CTVBE and you. These Terms and Conditions is the basis for the contract of sale between you and the Seller if you are the winning Bidder on any Lot(s).

• BIDDING: You must be signed in and add a valid payment method to your account to place a bid. Our auction site is designed to replicate a live auction. When bids are placed near the close of an item, extra time is added to allow all bidders a chance to win the item. If identical bids are placed on an item, the first person to place their bid will be awarded the item if it is the high bid. Often times, extra time is added more than once if there are active bidders, as when an Auctioneer asks, "any more bids", and the bidding paddles keep going up.
• MAXIMUM BID: The system will bid automatically and incrementally for you up to your maximum.
• BIDDING INQUIRIES: You acknowledge and agree that you may inquire about any condition, detail, or aspect of a Lot prior to bidding. Your failure to inquire is not a ground for dispute, refund, or cancellation of your Bidder's contract.
• CTVBE is not liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside its reasonable control including weather, power outages, and more.
• CTVBE will not be held liable for typographical errors, misprints, or failure of equipment.

• TAX-EXEMPT STATUS: You must submit a completed copy of the tax-exempt form at least one (1) hour prior to the official start of the live CTBids online estate sale, otherwise it will not be reviewed.

• EXPRESS CHECKOUT: By having a credit card on file, you agree to the card maintenance terms and you also agree and acknowledge that you will maintain valid payment information within your user profile so long as you maintain an account with Caring Transitions and that you are authorized to use the designated payment method.
• You authorize CTVBE to charge the payment method on file for the contract price, taxes, and fees immediately following the close of the auction.

• PAYMENT: Payment must be fully completed within 24 hours of auction close. *If you do not receive a copy of your invoice via email, please log into your account on CTBids and view Invoices/Receipts.
• Failure to Pay: It is considered that you abandoned your Lot(s) and are liable for all costs associated with the resale including additional commissions, marketing costs and fees. Your CTBids account will be suspended.
• Caring Transitions reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel listings or bids or suspend bidding privileges of any user not maintaining valid payment information. If your payment method fails or your account is past due, we may collect amounts owed by charging other payment methods on file with us, and/or retain collection agencies and legal counsel. In addition, you may be subject to late fees and interest in Caring Transitions discretion which will not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law.
• NO STOP PAYMENT OR CHARGEBACKS. You agree not to issues a stop payment or initiate a chargeback. You must FIRST contact Susan Henderson at 757-563-3634, and provide at least three (3) business days to resolve the issue. You agree to pay an administrative fee of $75 per chargeback in violation of these terms.
• In addition, initiating a chargeback will result in the permanent suspension of your CTBids account. CTVBE reserves the right to report any unpaid balances or fees to credit bureaus and / or collection agencies.
• Each Lot is subject to an earned Buyer's Premium of 18% of the closing bid contract price and a 3-4% convenience fee will be applied by PayPal to each credit card transactions.

• Terms: All items are sold "AS IS", "WHERE IS", and "WITH ALL FAULTS". No warranties or guarantees are made. No refunds or returns. All sales are final. You are responsible for all bids made and by bidding acknowledge you had the opportunity to inspect the description and photos of the Lot(s). Your failure to inspect a Lot(s), whether by photo and/or description, or failure to place an inquiry, will not be grounds for refusal to pay.
• Every effort is made to be transparent in the description and photos by listing and showing any defects and faults, although mistakes and missed details can be made.
• All Sales are final. No refunds or returns.
• Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller.

• PICKUP: TUESDAY PICKUP. Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 9 AM - 12.45 PM in Virginia Beach, VA 23456. The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices.
• You MUST bring all necessary help, vehicles, materials, etc. for lifting and loading won items. Staff is not authorized to assist at pick-ups.
• Not responsible for accidents.
• All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and forfeited. Forfeiture of payment for abandoned items constitutes liquidated damages and not a penalty, representing a reasonable estimate of administrative costs, moving / pickup by a third party if deemed necessary, storage expenses and lost opportunity. CTVBE may resell, donate, or discard items without further notice. Non-attendance at the pick-up can result in bidder account suspension.
• LATE PICKUP: CTVBE in its sole discretion, allow for late removal in exchange for a Late Removal Fee ($125 for the first hour, $50 each hour thereafter).

• SHIPPING: Shipping is available on select items only (no rugs, furniture, or large items) at buyer's request and expense. It is a separate expense and processed by Shipping Saint.
• NOTE: Please make sure your address is updated in CTBids BEFORE placing a bid. Items will be shipped to the address that appears on your invoice for that auction. If you have not updated your address, Caring Transitions is not liable for items sent to the wrong address.
• A shipping or delivery invoice will be created, and charges are separate and in addition to what the Bidder paid for the Winning Lot(s). A shipping or delivery invoice must be paid before receiving items.
• If you do not elect a fulfillment method and do not pick the item(s) up during the scheduled pickup time outlined on our Terms and Conditions or your receipt, Caring Transitions reserves the right to charge your payment method on file for the greater of the total purchase price of the item plus any applicable handling, moving, restocking or disposal fees.
• A minimum of $150.00 will be charged handling by a third-party disposal company.
• A minimum of $75.00 restocking fee will be charged to your payment method on file.
• You hereby expressly grant Caring Transitions the right to hold a winning item until confirmation of cleared funds has been received by Caring Transitions. Winning bidders with questions on payment should reference the Knowledge Base or contact Susan Henderson, susanhenderson@caringtransitions.com .
• You agree to indemnify and hold CTVBE and Seller harmless from all claims or liabilities related to your participation in the auction / estate sale.
• You acknowledge that you have read, understand, and accept these Terms and Conditions.
