Items of Value

      This sale is in a very clean house with an interesting variety of items. Also, you will find a shed full of new and/or very clean yard tools for sale.  There are small collections of Native American items, stones/minerals, sea shells.  Note the 7 handpainted carved bird feather pins and the collection of hats.  There are large collections of LPs, DVDs, and CDs.  By far the largest collections are the photographic equipment and books on photography.  The house includes a relatively large professional dark room.  We have counted 5 cameras, 19 lenses, and 7 tripods, 3 photo enlargers.

     Cameras and lenses include the following:  Pentax 645 Z digital, Olympus OM-1, Canon EOS R7.  There are a myriad of lenses plus flash equipment.  Note the Canon Macro Ring light.  Of special interest will be the Orion ED80T CF telescope/camera and Beseler lamp transformer.  You will find the cameras and lenses displayed on a table at the front window in the upstairs living room. The tripods, developing equipment, chemical supplies, printing supplies, plus the photo washing sink and counters are downstairs in the last room on the right.

     The dining room includes reproduction Mission Oak-style buffet, dining table, chairs, and small cabinet.  The upstairs living room plus the downstairs living room have FINE cupboards/cabinets and sofas.  In the master bedroom is a Mission Oak-style slatted headboard and most surprisingly, the most original period hardrock maple dresser and chest of drawers that I have ever seen, and in very good condition.  Note the construction of the handles, which makes them special.  For those of you still looking for barrister bookcases, we have 4 for you.  You will also find small tables and carts in various rooms.

     Other areas of interest will be the camping equipment consisting of tents and sleeping bags, all very clean and some probably brand new.  Where will you find the Japanese carved mask with the two-in-one head?  It is hanging on the wall to the left of the mirrored mullioned window frame downstairs.  We have brought in and set up 7 tables to display the smaller items.  The amount of cookware is surprising, and like everything else in the house, in very good condition.

     If you are a male and wear size XL clothes, you are in luck because you will find a nice selection of very good clothes in this sale.  Please bring empty boxes and canvas bags with you because we have none to offer.

     We are doing 5 sales back-to-back.  Following this one in Woodbridge is a very large and fine sale in Alexandria the first weekend of May.
