Description of sale:  This estate sale is being conducted in a beautiful home on the north end of the Sammamish Plateau, just 2 miles north of 202 / Redmond Fall City Road at Sahalee Way.  Spacious, clean and rich with family history!

It’s been a pleasure to work in a home full of family treasures (pottery, early glass, jewelry, silver, furniture, and more) that have been handed down through the family.  I’ve been blessed to be able to work closely with my client to learn so much about the history of the family and the many things offered here!

A great many of the items available are from mid-1800s middle America (three generations of Iowa families), those acquired during forty years of marriage, and some from trips to Europe as well as Air Force assignments.  Both had a love of hiking which is what brought them together.  His family was active with the Washington Alpine Club (WAC) and over the years took part in their mountain climbing course.

He grew up in West Seattle.  After graduating from the University of Washington, he was accepted into the Air Force Officer program. His assignments began in Texas, then training in Illinois, a Louisiana assignment, others to Japan, United Kingdom, and eventually back to Seattle.  She attended Iowa State, moved to Boston, and eventually to Bellevue.  Her parents were both college graduates as well.  Her mother taught music and art.  Select pewter pieces offered here were made by her mother (marked “N N 10 37) in 1937.
