No Mickey Mousing Around – We’re off to Palm Springs Estate Sale!
We’re having a great estate sale this weekend in Greenwood. The lady of the house, her sister, and her friends have all moved to Palm Springs…leaving behind a household full of items from two estates. This house is full of furniture, collectibles and everything in between.
COLLECTIBLES: The Mickey Mouse collectibles are mostly from the 80’s and 90’s. Telephones, figurines, books, Mouse dollars, ties and glassware. There is also a thimble and mini perfume bottle collection, shot glasses, Starbuck City mugs, Seahawks items, dolls, glass and pottery, along with other misc. items.
KITCHEN: As cooking enthusiasts, there’s a wide range of utilitarian kitchen gadgets, dishes and cookbooks (including lots of cocktail recipe books).
FURNITURE: There is an array of furniture from vintage to recent. The petit oak dresser is in great condition and has metal tear-drop handles. We have many dressers including a blond newer waterfall front unit with a matching small side table. There is a bedroom set in the “Tiki” style that includes a Queen headboard, dresser, vanity and matching side table. The American Drew cane style set includes a Full headboard and a matching vanity with a circular mirror. There are also other dressers, side tables, wicker furniture and shelving systems. We have three bed and box spring sets, two full sized and one queen sized – all in impeccable shape. There are two Victorian piano stools one with a back. We also have a small glass front kitchen storage cabinet and a small wood bar table with matching stools.
It'll be sunny (we hope)! Temp 2162.
CLOTHING: There are lots of baseball t-shirts from the 70’s and 80’s, along with some sports socks and shorts. There are a couple of Mickey Mouse jackets, women’s jackets and blouses, the ski jackets are Eddie Bauer and Fila. There are also theatre themed t-shirts in sizes from medium to large.
ART: We have lots and lots of glass framed art in this house. This includes six large framed exhibition posters from the Metropolitan Museum of Art (Van Gogh, Picasso and Impressionist) themes. There are many of framed smaller prints, some are by Anne Geddes. There are about two dozen signed prints are by Jody Bergsma that are nature and fantasy themed. We also have two Elton Bennet prints, one in great shape, the other needs to be reconditioned. In addition, there are Pike Place Market Fair posters and other miscellaneous posters.
RECORDS and CD’s: If you like pop, soul and contemporary music from the 80’s to the present, then come and check out the records and CD’s! The records are mainly pop and soul from the 80’s and 90’s that includes 33’s and some 45’s. There are 300+ CD’s in the same genres along with a few collectibles including a Tina Turner concert t-shirt, a great Whitney Houston T from the 80’s (it was a great concert…I was there too!) a Boy George doll, a WHAM silkscreen on cloth and a Little Feat CD signed by the whole band.
LINENS: The towels and bedding here are extensive…the sheets, comforters and duvets range from full to queen size and are very nice. Also available are lots of nice contemporary napkins, table clothes and place mats.
GARDEN: There is an outdoor table and four chairs, two outdoor bar chairs and matching bar (missing one piece of glass), coolers, hand and yard tools, outdoor garden storage units and pots.
