THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT TODAY!! THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF GREAT BARGAINS AND RECORDS!! See you tomorrow
MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS: We are willing to presale these two guitars for the ASKING PRICE. There will be no discounts.
2 Amazing vintage guitars. Gibson J-200 and Martin D-28:
SOLD !! -1968 Gibson J-200: Custom with hang tags and original case with classic mid-60s yellow-gold lining.
Excellent original condition all the way around. Very little play or play wear. Original frets are tall and clean. No cracks or issues of any kind. Plays easily, sounds great.
Natural (blond) Spruce top, flame maple back and sides. The back and sides have an unusual original walnut brown finish that is transparent enough to let the flame figuring show through.
Tuners look to be original and are Gold plated Grover (patent pending) instead of the more common waffle back tuners from this same era.
The bridge has a gold plated tune-o-matic saddle.
The neck is straight and at the correct angle. The action is low and can be adjusted up or down.
1-9/16 nut. Also included is a 1960s Ace strap in very good condition.
This is a one owner instrument and a rare find for player and collector alike. $6500. (+ Wa Sales Tax)
1991 Martin D-28P: in the original Martin molded plastic hard shell case.
East Indian Rosewood back and sides. Sitka spruce top. All the wood is clean and well cared for. No cracks. There is one small area with a little wear on the side of the neck that has been lightly treated with additional lacquer. An undersaddle pickup is installed but has not been identified or inspected.
The P in the model number indicates that the guitar has a Performance neck. This neck profile is slightly more slender than a traditional Martin neck with a 1-11/16” nut and 2-1/8” spacing at the bridge pins.
This neck was designed for players who want to hear the traditional Martin D-28 sound but whose hands prefer a neck that is not as thick.
The neck angle is where it should be and the guitar does not need any attention. It’s ready for the new owner to play and love it for the next 35 years just as the seller enjoyed it since it was made 34 years ago. Maybe even more so because the tone has opened up over the years. $2000. (+Wa Sales Tax)
