Original, Modern Works of Art by Julia Julsrud (1934-2013)

Julia Julsrud attended the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto where she received Honors in Drawing and Painting. She also attended The Artist’s Workshop and exhibited simultaneously there and at the Douglas Duncan Gallery in Toronto. In Seattle she has exhibited with Artist’s Equity, St. David’s Exhibit of Religious Art, the University Unitarian Church Art Gallery, Unity Church and the Frye Art Museum.

Julia created works of vibrant art and imagination using mediums of oil, ink, acrylic, chalk and ink with concentrated watercolors.

Julia’s greatest passion was classical music, especially opera. She was also inspired by poetry, mythology and the book of Revelations. As Julia would listen to her music and her favorite composers, distinct images would come to mind and she would recreate them on canvas.

Some of her beautiful creations are for sale, all are original and a few sample of her art is pictured below.
