In Tacoma's Historic North End, we welcome you again to the 1889 Geiger House. This Eastlake-style residence was at the center of political, civic, social and suffragist activity in Tacoma's early years and then, a century later, the subject of numerous articles and videos as its Restoration and Renaissance inspired the preservation of many other Historic Homes in Tacoma. Three floors up a winding staircase, with treasures to be discovered around every corner…

A return to this beautifully-restored Tacoma Landmark, where a century-and-a-half’s worth of goods awaits, including some pieces we simply didn’t have room to display before. Featuring antique and vintage furniture: a tall hand-finished entry mirror on stand with cherub crest, marble-topped tables and chests plus a carved antebellum sideboard, a rare dropleaf nautical washstand from the days of Tacoma’s masted ships, an impressive Italian burled wood cabinet, beautiful Victorian carved beds, elegant settees, stately Court chairs, dining table and two handsome sets of dining chairs, and more. Lighting: antique and vintage table and floor lamps plus an unusual brass mirror mounted with rose-shaded oil lamps. Art spanning the decades: original paintings including an impressive marine scene by Pierre-Emile Berthelemy (1818-1890), a lovely mid-19th century child’s portrait by George Augustus Baker Jr. (American, 1821-1880), prints (Victorian to Munoz and more), a large bronze Native American triptych statue, historic Tacoma's photographs including panoramics. A handsome Deco style tall case clock. Books of all genres with an emphasis on children’s literature, plus boxes of ephemera. Vintage radios and clocks, a particular passion of the owner. Porcelains, from tableware (Haviland, Spode “Shima”) to crystal to a menagerie of whimsical Herend animal figures. More sterling and jewelry that we now have space to display. Ethnographic art including a large collection of handmade miniature Southwest pottery. Vintage radios. Dollhouse furnishings. A hospitable kitchenful. Tools, plus an intriguing garden with furnishings and decor tucked here and there, including a pair of mighty stone lions. And, of course, the attic’s Jumble Room containing a potpourri of goods.

Since you will want plenty of time to peruse and choose from this outstanding collection, and due to the quality and number of items offered, we are offering these sessions "By Appointment" with timed and limited entry.
