Description & Details

If you've ever driven down Highway 14 through the gorge, you've definitely passed the location of this weekend's sale.

If you are like me - as you've passed it you've thought (or said) "what a cute little building!".

I'm talking about the Prindle School building! It was built in 1912 and is the sweetest little building between Vancouver and Stevenson. It's a long and lovely drive to the school (approx. 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver). I suggest you come early if you are going to other sales, or come anytime and make a day of it!

There are lots of things to see on the way, as well as a clear view of the river since we aren't obstructed by all the tree leaves!

BUSINESS FIRST:

No list on Sunday!
HALF OFF EVERYTHING ALL DAY!

Please note parking situation. There is a large turnout JUST BEFORE the school. You can park there. There is also parking around the corner from the schoolhouse. Parking in driveway will be reserved for picking up large items.

PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB - as there is someone living in the lower level of the school.

What's inside?
Good question. I'll do my best to answer!

As you can see - it's not a huge building. The sale isn't chock full, but what we do have is pretty fantastic!! Lots of great antique items, as well as a room full of treasures for the tinkerer/engineer/mechanic.

MAIN SCHOOL ROOM:

In the main room we have several old school desks (that's no surprise considering where we are!). Take a piece of history home. There are several framed art prints by Charles Russell, some taxidermy mounts (deer and pronghorn - and I can't forget "Doug" - he's our pronghorn who’s seen some better days. Give Doug a home. :) There's a cute little tramp art style table, several original paintings, old wooden kayak/canoe oar, a pair of carved oak chairs with tooled red leather seats, antique croquet mallets, lots of loose art/artsy photographs, antique child's chalkboard easel, cast iron antique cork press/crimper, USA standard testing sieves, antique fan, INCREDIBLE 1800's mercantile counter - open in the back and has an amazing patina - could be used in a shop - or even raised and used as a really unique kitchen island - the possibilities are really endless with this amazing piece! Large wool rug (has damage on one end), office supplies - new and vintage - including an IBM pacific typewriter, frames, HUGE (aluminum?) metal sphere - it is VERY HEAVY - bring helpers! Vintage wall phone, vintage maps, Kane dead reckoning computer, slide rulers, antique leather razor strap - not like the ones we see all the time!, mail sorters, darkroom timer, modern cozy chair with wooden arms, metal filing cabinets and bookcase - a few other treasures scattered about.

There will be a small case with fossils near the cash register.

SHOP ROOM:

TONS of nails/screws/fasteners, some chemicals, Huge DIY'd fossil excavation table - comes with 3 large unfinished fossils. Bison skull with arrowheads, Comco micro blaster MB1000 with table, some power tools, 2 brand new Sumitomo cyclo 6000 gear motors, Mayline print filing cabinet, Waterloo tool box, LS Starrett tools, thermo anemometer, Craftsman and Stanley tools, metal SK tool box, Bedrock and Stanley planers, 2 large metal workbenches - one with cool drawers, antique tools, ring sizing tools, literally BOXES of pressure gauges, various machine parts, medium sized unfinished fossils from the Green River Formation in Colorado.... lots of useful things in there! Please take note that the large parts bin is NFS. :(

There is also an antique Monarch stove available - please ask about it. You will need to move it yourself by the end of the sale on Sunday.

This isn't a huge sale, but it does have some really wonderful and unique items! Come out... say hello... find a treasure and as you drive out - you'll remember why we all choose to live in this beautiful part of the country!
