Our store is finally opening, and we have some great stuff to debut!
This is the "event opening" of our shop As Time Goes By - Antique2Modern, with regular hours soon to follow.
In conjunction with downtown Racine's First Friday, we open at 2:00pm Friday, August 3rd and stay open until 9:00pm that evening, and open again Saturday.
We are presenting some choice pieces from an Oconomowoc estate for our opening, as well as items from a pair of small estates in Racine and Wind Point.
Just a taste of what's in store:
Frank Lloyd Wright "Taliesin" mahogany dining table with 8 Taliesin chairs.
Bexley Heath (Widdicomb) Wright-design oak lamp table.
Frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin round card mahogany table (originally called a Breakfast Set) with four chairs.
Framed Frank Lloyd Wright architectural drawing from the Wasmuth Portfolio 1910.
Some very nice Mission Oak furniture: oak sideboard with stained glass doors, wall cabinet, hall tree w/mirror. Stickley oak console cabinet. Stickley rocker with leather seat.
Majestic Lamp Co. vintage mid-century boomerang floor lamp.
Eames style Plycraft lounge & ottoman. Drexel wall unit w/brass hardware.
Mid-century Milo Baughman wood & metal table with 4 orange swivel chairs. Milo Baughman for Thayer-Coggin large swivel round lounge. Herman Miller bubble lights by George Nelson. Pair of Martz pottery table lamps.
Artwork, jewelry, pottery, antique metalware & ceramics.
Vintage Linens, Quilts and more.
A fine collection of audiophile equipment, some of which verges on esoterica:
Mark Levinson, McIntosh, Thor Audio, Bryston, Llano, Sansui, Cambridge Audio, Marantz, Lux, Cary and others. And a magnificent pair of Classic Audio Reproductions Project T-1 horn speakers by John Wolfe. And...a vinyl collection to go along with it all.
