Terms & Conditions
Registration: You must register to place a bid. If you have any difficulty registering, contact the site administrator at auctionadmin@ctbids.com, or call 1-844-4BidHelp.
Bidding:
· PLACING A BID IS AN AGREEMENT TO PURCHASE.
· Proxy bidding, soft close, and other general info is explained HERE. Note that proxy bidding is disabled on items that have not met any designated reserve price.
· A 15% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
Payment:
Invoices will be emailed to winning bidders after the auction closes. In most cases, payment is due at 12:00 NOON on the day prior to pickup. To pay your invoice, either click the link in the emailed invoice, or log into your CTBids account, locate your invoice under “My Account”, and click “checkout”. (Note: payment by linked checking account, “eCheck”, or PayPal account funds may delay payment. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure payment is made by the payment deadline. All payments must be made electronically – no cash or check payments.)
Pickup:
· The full address for pickup will be on winning bidders’ invoices.
· Bring all materials and equipment necessary to pack and load purchases; staff is not authorized to assist. Items may be in garages, basements, or attics – plan accordingly!
· If you are not prepared to remove your items from the home safely and efficiently, you will be asked to return at a later date, and will be assessed a $25 “rescheduled pickup” fee.
· Local pickup highly preferred, but shipping is available on some items.
Other Terms:
· Items are sold as-is, where-is. NO REFUNDS OR RETURNS - all sales are final. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase, and a winning bid is a contract between you and the seller.
· We have made every effort to describe items as accurately as possible, and while we try to list all flaws, we cannot guarantee such. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antique, vintage, and used items. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic, or mechanical device. Dimensions given may be approximate.
· All items not retrieved during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned unless prior arrangement is made, and will be donated or resold with no refund. All items in a lot must be removed from the pickup location during the scheduled pickup time, or the buyer may have his/her bidding account suspended. Non-payment of invoice by the payment deadline, or failure to pickup/arrange shipment of items may result in bidder account suspension.
