Signed by Marie Z. Chino (one of the matriarchs of the Acoma Pueblo pottery family. She is credited with reviving the pottery tradition at the pueblo in the mid 20th century. The piece has numerous spots of "spalling" (where moisture in the underlying clay has expanded and popped off a bit of the glaze over it )  This was common in Acoma Potttery produced during this time period due to the clay the potters used.
