Hello, my name is Lela and I'm from eastern Pennsylvania. I have 1 husband, 3 kids, 1 almost daughter-in-law, and a part-time adorable dog. The icing on the cake is: I am an estate-saler! Yep, that's my un-official title! I have a YouTube channel, a Facebook page, and a Pinterest page called TrashFindRedesigned. I really love finding items with potential and creating something special with them. I don't do this for profit; I really do it in hopes that my family, friends, and others will enjoy!

This past summer, two of my bigger finds were featured on ABC’s Good Afternoon America! How exciting was that? Lara Spencer transformed my vanity into a treasure along with a vintage bench that I also found. That's me on the bench chillin' with Josh and Lara. Yep, I got my 2 minutes of fame. Does this mean I have 13 minutes remaining? By the way, I hear Lara uses the EstateSales.NET site. Do you think this was her way of bringing us together with this blog?

Anyway, it certainly was a busy summer around here. My husband and I hosted an outdoor engagement party for my son and his fiancé. I knew I adored my future daughter-in-law when she said she liked the whole rustic/vintage/old/chippie paint thing! Yay! Most items I used were bought at estate sales and transformed into something special for the party.

The party was a HUGE hit. Soooo many people asked where I got all of the vintage pieces. When I told them estate sales, many of them said they always wanted to go to one but that they had no idea how to do that. This made me want to find a way to show folks out there just how easy and fun this is!

With EstateSales.NET, I can click on their main map for any state in the US, I often choose New Jersey, which then takes me into several choices to narrow my search. Like many other estate-salers, I plan out my days in advance. Most sales are posted way in advance, sometimes months. The posts usually include a description of the sale along with pictures, times, the address, etc. I use EstateSales.NET whenever I visit my Connecticut hometown and also when I travel to other parts of the country.

Over the next few months I will show you how just how easy it is to have a weekend filled with fun and hopefully great finds. I'm still searching for that million dollar painting tucked away in an attic at one of the sales! You never know what you might find!

Come visit me here next week and we'll start preparing for our first estate sale! I can't wait - this will be a lot of fun!! Have a wonderful week, everyone.
