Luke Edward/Locke works on a percentage rate of total sales. Our services,based on strict ethical standards with no extra costs to the seller, include the following:  Strategically and effectively advertising your sale through media sites, emails to established clients, and newspaper ads.  As a result of owing a well known interior design business for twenty five years, we are experienced in strategically and effectively displaying your valuable to insure that they yield top dollar.  Our staging a room and artfully displaying valuables promises the best sales results for the owner. In addition to staging, we clean, polish, and freshen sale items in order for your treasures to be presented to the consumer in the best possible manner!  With a friendly and dedicated staff, we normally conduct either two or three day sales, depending on the volume of sales items.  We always have an adequate number of staff on site to assist buyers and to protect your valuables. We do welcome sales by phone, but we do not accept purchases by phone until an hour after a sale has begun. Our company is also time sensitive and is present to market needs and the sellers time limitations.  We tag, and price all items based upon Fair Market Value.  Also taken into account are the overall condition of an item; the significance of an item; the consumer demand for a particular item; and the area of the country where your estate sale is held.  Again, our company works from a commission percentage of total sales with no upfront fees to the seller.  All items are sold on site!

Depending on the size and volume of a sale, we do travel beyond our advertising areas to conduct an estate liquidation!

Luke Edward/Locke is constantly staying abreast of rising or falling prices through studying the market; studying styles and decorative arts, and attending sales at a variety of venues throughout the Mid South!  We offer an extended and spot on knowledge of furniture, glassware, art glass, porcelains, objects de art, collectibles, linens, silver, sterling flatware and hollow ware; crystal, ephemera, automobiles and boats!

What is Luke/Edwards process for liquidating your estate?  The first step to smoothly conducting a sale is preparing and explaining the process to the seller.  We will schedule a consultation with the seller to cover all important information. At this meeting, we will familiarize ourselves with your estate and discuss what will be for sale and what items will be excluded from the sale.  Knowing the above will better enable our company to direct you in choosing the best sales option, according to volume, time restraints, and other variables.  At this meeting a contract for handling your sale will be presented and discussed.  Upon agreement of our company and the seller the contract will be signed by both parties.  Upon agreement of sale dates, our team of professionals will come on site and begin preparing for your sale.  Normally, we arrive on site two weeks before the scheduled sale dates, depending on various variables.  Our team will handle all items in closets, storage buildings on the property, cabinets, attics, and drawers. On site, our company supplies, tables, table cloths, tickets, signage, and email lists, again, at no further cost to you, the seller.  We will enthusiastically open doors at 9:00am on sale days (except Sundays which will be 12:00)  No pre-sales are allowed!  The balance of items not sold at the end of the sale is sold to estate liquidators or donated to charitable organizations with the tax receipts going to our  clients.
