Laura and her team focus on providing profitable professional estate sales and liquidations with integrity, advocacy and understanding. Antique Advocate takes the time to listen to clients, to elicit their individual needs and to formulate their goals in order to tailor  services to reach a profitable estate liquidation solution,with knowledge and expertise to achieve maximum estate liquidation results.

Laura is a personal property appraiser earning  a Certificate in Appraisal Studies Fine and Decorative Arts from The University of California Irvine, in association with the American Society of Appraisers.Laura is also an Accredited Estate Liquidator with The American Society of Estate Liquidators. Laura Works in Compliance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (U.S.P.A.P) and has successfully completed the course taught by a ASB Certified National Instructor. Laura maintains 17 verifiable years of industry experience. She is a member and moderator of numerous online antique and collectible identification groups, she owns and operates a successful online sales venue with over 20,000 successful transactions, and is also a member of the Antiques & Collectibles National Association (ACNA). Laura holds a valid business license and resale permit and obeys all local, city, state and county laws regarding permits and regulations pertaining to conducting estate sales.

We work with executors, heirs, families, representatives, seniors, realtors and those who wish to downsize in a comprehensive way to liquidate ALL household items, including furniture, collectibles, antique and vintage items, jewelry, clothing and accessories, garage and garden items, tools, vehicles all contents inside and outside of a home!

We provide  all necessary research, experts when necessary,  Sales and internet marketing, professional staging, pricing and crowd control. We have a large following of  regular customers, dealers and those that like to shop estate sales. We have the experience and expertise to know when it is appropriate to send items to auction or other sales venues. Our sales are conducted on site and are generally between 2 to 3 days to maximize sales time and exposure.

We provide an itemized sales spreadsheet and usually pay our clients within 3 business days of the conclusion of the sale, our cashier holds a certificate in accounting. Our staff are courteous,efficient and knowledgeable in many areas and fields of expertise, our references and experience are verifiable.We have access to a variety of solutions for any left-over unsold items. We provide estate liquidation services for Southern California.

Our initial consultation is free. We work on a commission basis based on the amount of items and time necessary for preparation of each sale.

Several weeks ago my family and I found Antique Advocates on the Internet. We were looking for someone who could sell off the remains of our mother's massive hoard of stuff that was 50 years in the making. None of us had any idea about the world of estate agents or estate sales. Antique Advocates seemed to fit what we were looking for and there was really nothing to lose.

This morning we just finished up business after a 3-day estate sale, and I have to say: Laura (the owner) and her crew were absolutely phenomenal. It takes a certain amount of mutual trust to see the process through, and at no time did I feel anything was not transparent. Everything she laid out in our initial consultation was completely accurate. She's been doing this for nearly 20 years, so she knows. She said to expect breakage, people trying to exchange price tags, the unscrupulous, the manipulative, and the weird. Real estate agents will come sniffing around; neighbors will get worked up over traffic. And she was exactly right on all of the above. The best part is that she is very proactive in dealing with all these types of situations. She held the sale on days during hours that would not impact the neighborhood; she made sure that we (the family) were not bothered by anyone. After the last day, she and the crew left everything spotless.

Before our sale, Laura and her crew spent days sorting and arranging literally thousands of items to make the best presentation. Nothing was left in heaps or piles. As for the pricing, her experience determined what would sell and at what price, and if she wasn't sure, she looked it up or asked an expert for advice. Frankly, my jaw dropped at the amount of money people are willing to pay for "stuff." Since every town has its own unique estate sale shopper demographic, you just don't know what people are going to buy. In our case, we took in three times the amount of money we thought we would. The final accounting today was accurate to the penny.

No way in a million years could we have done this on our own. I'm ecstatically happy on how everything turned out. What could have been a stressful experience became something fun and upbeat.
