When Everything But The House (EBTH) closed their doors in Los Angeles, Amy Byer continued to get calls from Realtors and clients asking for help with their estate sales. Handled was started to continue servicing clients who need a trusted, transparent estate sales company to help with their downsizing needs.
Amy's journey into this business began when she took several months off to care for her ailing mother, who was a collector of art, jewelry, couture and kitsch. They had many frank conversations about her impending demise and what should be done with her possessions upon her passing, which made the process so much easier. Amy ended up hiring EBTH to clear both estates and was so pleased by how much relief it provided her that she wanted to work for the company to bring that feeling to others going through similar transitions. Amy was responsible for 60 plus sales in 18 months including a Rolls Royce in Palm Springs.
Her role as Sales Specialist for EBTH came naturally and was really a culmination of several past experiences:
1) Three years as associate producer on the HGTV show At The Auction with Leslie Hindman, which shot at Sotheby's in Chicago, which examined high end art, antiques, jewelry, furniture and collectibles and followed the items as they sold at a live auction. The highlight of this experience was the special episode they shot on the famouse Duke and Duchess of Windsor auction at Sotheby's in New York, which told their story through the sale of of their collection.
2) Seven years as a Realtor at Keller Williams Beverly Hills where she guided clients through multiple challenging transactions with client service as her top priority.
It'll be sunny (we hope)! Temp 285.
3) Over 15 years in the TV industry managing passionate personalities and learning first hand "the show must go on." Amy is a highly creative problem solver.
