We offer Free consultations about your valuables and give you advice on our strategies for selling your home’s contents. FES will discuss your specific need at our initial consultation. At this time, we will determine dates and timelines for your sale. FES will conduct a 2 or 3 day sale depending on the size of your estate and needs. FES will provide a comprehensive analysis of the value of your assets and our strategy for the sale of each item. There are no upfront fees, or deposits. FES handles all the details of your sale from start to finish. We will obtain the appropriate permits, providing tables, display cases for your valuables and organizing, sorting, pricing and providing staff for the sale. After preliminary research is conducted, desirable items may be sold at presale to maximize sales and earnings. After the conclusion of your estate sale, FES will issue payment to our client within 72 hours, less our commission of 30%, & additional services if applicable. Our commission is based on gross sales. FES also offers additional services at additional costs and can be discussed upon initial consultation.
When you are ready for our assistive services, we will begin photographing your home’s contents in preparation for advertising your sale. Photos and descriptions will be posted on our website and on www.estatesales.net which is nation-wide estate sale listing website with over 34,000 email subscribers. We list your sale on local sites, such as www.nextdoor.com, ChicagoMag, Facebook, Craigslist and gsalr.com.
Additionally, we personally contact our extensive list of dealers and collectors to acquire the greatest number of potential buyers for your sale.
On the days of the sale, professional signage is posted at nearby intersections as local statutes allow. Approximately two weeks before the sale, we will begin emptying cabinets, and sorting and staging your sale items. Nearly EVERYTHING in a home can bring in revenue at your estate sale. We have expertise in selling all types of art and collectibles, vintage and newer household items, as well as automobiles and small watercraft. We will research your valuable items to come up with the best sale prices possible. With over 15 years of experience with online resources, and our network of specialists, we assure you fair market values of all antique, collectible and higher priced items you may have.
We may suggest selling some merchandise online through our Ebay services at our specialty rate or through local brokers to help your sale reach its maximum potential. There are no upfront costs. Our commission is 30% of the gross sales with a $2000 minimum commission. Our fees include preparation of your goods, organizing, staging, researching, advertising, pricing and staffing the sale.
We provide you with the proceeds and receipts from the sale less our commission and will return the keys to the property no later than 10 business days after the completion of the sale. At that time, you may keep any of the unsold items, consign them on eBay through us or donate them to charity.
