Our mission is to eliminate the stress during what usually is a very tough time whether you are downsizing, getting rid of clutter or have lost a loved one.
Here are some common questions that are asked.
What do we do exactly? We will start with a walk through and exchange information and protocol. Then we go in and prepare the home, like light-cleaning, laundering, and set up for the sale. We price everything from pencils, tools, clothes, china, antiques, cars, to lawn ornaments! We have the sale on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The advertising for the sale will begin a week in advanced thru the papers locally, and the surrounding areas. When it is over we will take care of anything that is left. Nothing will be left in the home unless otherwise arranged.
How long does it take? It can take 1-4 weeks to prepare depending on the size of the estate.
How much do we charge? We charge 35% of the total sales that Suzanne’s Estate Sales generate during an Estate sale. Payment and fees are deducted from the total at the end of the sale. There will be an extra charge if a lot of cleaning is needed or removal of any hazardous waste (ie. Chemicals etc…). All checks will be written out to the client or recipient.
What do we do with anything that doesn’t sell? Either the family can take it themselves or we donate it to one of the local charities here in town. The client will choose which Charity.
Should the Clients be there at the sale? I strongly recommend not. Sometimes it is hard for family members to watch people they do not know come in and buy their possessions. Clients need to remember that everything that is sold is being bought by someone who truly wants it and will truly enjoy it.
Clients need to have the items that are not being sold removed or put in a designated area before the estate is handed over to Suzanne’s Estate Sales. This just helps with any confusion.
