This amazing house is an adventure in Del Mar 1970's cool, which we all know is the coolest it ever was. The vibe is Laurel Canyon 1970s. This one is everything. It is so packed full that I have tried to price below the more important pieces so no one is disappointed if something they want is priced higher than they may like.
Please be aware that the prices can change for any reason at any time.
Also please note that at the sale - if a price tag is missing or we feel that it has been changed the item will be removed from The sale and repriced.
THE BEST WAY TO NAVIGATE THE PRICES BELOW IS TO - ON A DESKTOP - HIT "COMMAND F" IF YOU HAVE AN APPLE TO SEARCH THE ITEM - I BELIEVE ON OTHER COMPUTERS THE SEARCH IS COMMAND OR CONTROL F.

Grateful Dead at the cheese factory Grateful Dead 1966 One-Year Anniversary Party Concert Poster First-printing San Francisco concert poster for the Grateful Dead and Andrew Staples playing at the Old Cheese Factory on Saturday night, November 12, 1966. This poster has been graded 9.6 Near Mint Plus by the Certified Guaranty Company (CGC), a scarce high grade for this Dead poster. This show took place just days after Jerry Garcia had traveled down to Los Angeles to help his pals the Jefferson Airplane finish recording their Surrealistic Pillow album. He ended up playing lead guitar on four songs and overhauling "Somebody to Love" into the hit version we know today. Nice way to mark your first anniversary as a serous Bay-Area musician. (The Grateful Dead had actually first performed under that name 11 months earlier, at the first public Acid Test held in San Jose on December 4, 1965. But most likely they had decided on their new name in November.) Measures 14 1/4" x 20" and grades to 9.6 Near Mint Plus condition. From the KC Murphy Bindweed Press Collection. COA from Heritage Auctions. Literature: See Grushkin, Paul, The Art of Rock: Posters from Presley to Punk, Abbeville Press, New York, 1987, p.186

Designed by Victor Moscoso, this poster has a wonderful design of flowers with curving stems which surround the Family Dog logo. Reportedly, the inspiration for Moscoso’s design came from a seed package. There is a fair amount of color variation on this poster, and the red varies from a pure red to a brackish red.
The original poster was printed on vellum and measures approximately 15″ x 20″. The notation “The Bindweed Press San Francisco” appears in the lower right corner.
FD-31 $250 has some creasing at the bottom vellum - The Bindweed Press Type B Avalon Ballroom 10/21-22/66
