ST. CHARLES AVE. & NEWCOMB BLVD.
CALHOUN FAMILY ESTATE SALE - PART II

APRIL 20-21

SATURDAY, 9AM-3PM & SUNDAY, 10AM-2PM

We’re thrilled to present a SECOND estate sale in the magnificent home of Sybil Calhoun at the corner of St. Charles Avenue and Newcomb Blvd. Three generations of family have lived in this 1917 mansion since the early 1930’s. The home is a time capsule with treasures in every corner! More than half the house was closed off for the first sale – we have pulled everything out and re-staged the house with all new stuff! With the exception of a few pieces of furniture, this really is a whole new sale! We’re also offering a stunning collection of fine estate jewelry, sterling silver and great smalls and collectibles in this sale – see details below.

Join us for this special estate sale on April 20-21, Saturday, 9am-3pm and Sunday, 10am-2pm (discount day).

Please note:

  • The basement will NOT be open for this sale. We will offer a third sale in June with the basement, additional costume jewelry and more.
  • Numbers will be passed out at 7am sharp for crowd control. You may arrive as early as you prefer. You do not need a number to attend our sales, but those who choose to get a number will be admitted numerically when we open. Sale opens at 9am. Expect limited entry when we first open. As customers leave, we will let more inside and we will do our best to let customers in as quickly as possible. Once we run through the numbers, the house is open!
  • Main entry to the house is from the St. Charles Avenue side – entry only. Checkout and holding area will be in the driveway accessible through the Newcomb-facing foyer.
  • Holding tags for a long time is unacceptable. Only pull the string tag for item(s) you are certain to purchase and bring to checkout immediately, otherwise risk the item(s) being re-tagged or sold. Do not peel off yellow stickers. If you can carry an item, you must carry it. We will have holding tables next to checkout.
  • We will not be able to provide moving assistance for large and heavy items. Please be prepared to make moving arrangements for furniture. We have a list of recommended movers posted at checkout.
  • As standard, Saturday is priced as marked and Sunday is discount day – expect a lot of mark-down prices. You must come to the sale on Sunday to see what items are discounted and marked. We do not hold items.
  • Most importantly, have fun! There’s something for everyone at this sale.
