Small ship's-wheel turning handles rotate the sand-filled hourglass (which was not timed). The top glass of this table measures 17* wide. It stands 24" high with an 11" base. This is an extra large but relatively light military ocean travel or steamer trunk of wood and iron, with no inner compartments. The handles are missing, but other hardware is in great shape, and many outer dings, patina, and wear add vintage appeal. The previous owner's name can be made out on the side, as well as some of the words on top: "Port Transportation Office ...Seattle... Embarkation... Priority... 1947." The bottom is solid but flaking a thin outer layer. This roomy trunk measures 26" high x 23" deep x 40" wide.This narrow and low-format vintage Chinese wood tea cabinet features antiqued brass decorative hardware. It was used as a TV stand, and some surface marks are shown. The inner chambers are papered with Chinese writing and are surrounded by seven small, flat drawers. Interesting round thumb catches open side well-type chambers. The cabinet measures 39" long x 14" deep x 18.5" tall.
