The Life and Legacy of Dom DeLuise Auction
Born on August 1, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York City, NY Dom DeLuise was raised by two Italian immigrants. Little did his parents know that their son would eventually become one of the world’s most famous and recognizable comedians. From plays, musicals, and comedies to the big screen and Hollywood, Dom was a true star. While apprenticing at the Cleveland Playhouse, Dom DeLuise starred in “Guys and Dolls”, “Stalag 17”, “The School For Scandal”, and “Hamlet”. When he returned to New York City, he stared in many productions such as “All In Love”, “An Evening With Harry Stoones”, and “Little Mary Sunshine”. A sampling of his movie credits include The Cannonball Run, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, The Secret of Nimh, The Muppet Movie, Hot Stuff, Oliver and Company, and many more. With over 125 credits tied to his name, it is quite easy to see why he was associated with Hollywood stars like Mel Brooks, Burt Reynolds, Carol Burnett, and Gene Wilder. Dom DeLuise’s contagious laughter touched millions and still does even after his passing of cancer in May of 2009.
In this unique bidding opportunity presented by Remember When Antiques and Estate Sales, LLC buyers have the chance to bid on original personal effects purchased directly from his California estate. Please view all of the items for sale listed below.
