Huge Collector's Estate: Antiques, Porcelain, Fashion, Jewelry, Mid Century Modern, Artwork, & More

Vision & Vasari is honored to present the estate of Joseph & Marion (Mitzi) Panico of Powell. Married for over 70 years, Mitzi and Joe met as teenagers in their hometown of Wheeling, West Virginia. A WWII veteran, Joe was an author, consultant, historian, and educator. He worked full-time for five major corporations and later became owner-director of Maynard Research Counsel, fully supported by Mitzi with whom he worked side-by-side.

Joe was a Professor for four academic institutions; a Departmental Chair in the fields of mathematics, statistics, and industrial engineering; an author of scientific textbooks; an Advisor to the U.S. International Trade Commission; a Consultant to over one hundred manufacturing companies as well as the Federal Reserve System; an Expert Witness in Federal Court on industry-wide arbitration issues; a Labor Relations expert; a machine designer; and the producer of extensive movies for benchmarking production work. Furthermore, he was a renowned collector of American Brilliant Cut Glass, of which a few pieces will be offered for sale this weekend.

A collector in her own right, Mitzi collected antique majolica, cloisonne, & porcelain, much of which will be offered for sale this weekend. Mitzi was a gourmet cook (once mentioned in Women’s Day magazine), an avid gardener, and a devotee of the fine arts. She served on the Board of Directors for Opera Columbus, chairing the Opera Ball; and served on several committees for the Columbus Symphony, hosting many of their symphony dinners.
