Art done while living in Holland, completed during retirement. Wife and household items used as models, many towns painted on canvas, also did charcoal drawings, and watercolor paintings. An exhibition for his art was held by a museum in Holland (dates on poster shown in entryway hall). Possibly sold some paintings at art shows, and privately-for which I have some records of in Dutch. Three generations of Meilink’s were painted, located in master bedroom. The artist-Albert, son Leonard, and Albert III (my husband) as babies. The artist Albert, had three sons, lived in a 3rd story apartment overlooking one of the many canals in the city. He also submitted articles to Amsterdam newspaper-which were published. In the sale are sculptures, metal statues, model pieces, and a poem written for grandson Albert III (framed and in Dutch). His works are spread through family members in Holland, Austria, and USA.
