Description & Details

Lakewood is a centrally located neighborhood in northwest Austin off of Capitol of Texas Highway 360 and just north of FM 2222. Homes in lakewood were built in the 1960's through the 1990's with a few custom homes built in the last few years. This sale takes place in one of the oldest homes dating to 1969 and is up on a hill on lavish grounds. Guests will enjoy very much items original from the era on two levels. This home is full of beautiful vintage and antique items and has a full array of art, crystal, china, linens, and furnishings as well as large collections of sea shells (many mantlepiece sized), amethyst glass and all things pertaining to butterflies.

We are pleased to bring you a treasure-filled Lakewood estate that appears frozen in time. The sale includes a 1960’s baroque dining table and china cabinet, Danish-style walnut furniture, wrought iron crystal chandeliers, a large collection of sea shells and coral, costume jewelry, old toys, art, paint by numbers and a Grundig Danish Modern stereo console with reel to reel.  There is a line of six foot tables full of pottery, art glass, china sets (Metlox “Sculpted Daisy”, Syracuse, Andrea by Sadek, Fitz and Floyd) as well as silver plate, punch bowls and a beautiful collection of depression-era etched stems, amethyst glass and A.B.P. cut glass. One of the three upstairs bedrooms is devoted to sewing and crafts, with 4 sewing machines and hundreds of buttons, and also upstairs are the vintage linens, crochet and fabulous ladies clothing as well as occasional furniture, lamps and rugs. The covered patio contains wrought iron, hanging macrame planters and driftwood. The garage will be open to shopping separate from the house sale and it, too, is full with bookshelves, baskets, vases, Mason’s jars, household products, Christmas, tools, electrical gadgets, dollar items including books.  Please put it on your calendar - you will not be disappointed. Remember the sale opens Friday and remaining items (except for the chandeliers) go to 50% off at the start of Sunday. A sale and home like this happens only once in a while so please don't miss it! We look forward to seeing you there!.
