Austin Estate Sales is a full-service estate sale company that handles full and partial contents of home sales in and around Austin, Texas. We also work with individuals and families who are downsizing or leaving the area and those who would like their collections or no longer wanted items sold professionally.
Our company has a decades worth of experience in researching and selling art, antiques and collectibles. Our staff is caring and efficient and we have conducted successful in-home sales in nearly every Austin neighborhood. Once a contract is signed and the family has taken what they wish to keep, the keys are handed over and we do it ALL! We organize, stage, clean glass and crystal, polish silver and furniture, take out the trash, research and price items and then stage and host your sale for you. Personal and family items are set aside in a "family drawer." Jewelry and smaller valuables are placed in secured showcases where they are shown one piece at a time by one of our staff.
There are several ways Austin Estate Sales distinguishes themselves from other estate sales companies and which we feel we make our clients more money. First is our attention to detail and thoroughness. Every item in the home is priced and the contents are presented in an attractive and organized manner. Second, we have a large e-mail database comprised of customers from our past sales who have expressed a desire to be informed of upcoming sales. We have buyers at the ready for nearly every category of collectible; antiques, militaria, depression glass, vintage furniture, fine and costume jewelry, as well as tools, books, music and everyday household goods. In addition, our estate sales are advertised in the Austin American Statesman, local community papers, our website and Craigslist. On the weekend of the sale our large, professionally printed black and white company signs dot all the ingresses into the neighborhood. We leave nothing to chance. Our sales always attract lines and usually are sell outs.
Lastly, as experienced brokers of fine art and antiques as well as an eBay powerseller, when we turn up items that our experience and research tells us are truly special we can bring them to a broader market such as a cataloged auction or eBay. It is a fact, that by listing items on eBay before an advertised sale, AES has made clients hundreds and often thousands of dollars before the event even opens to the public.
We actively encourage prospective clients to come to our sales to see how we set up and do things. The key to realizing the most for your family heirlooms and general household items is allowing enough time to plan and schedule a sale prior to putting a home on the market. It takes an average of three weeks to properly organize, research, stage and conduct an in-home estate sale. We encourage executors and individuals to make an appointment for a free in-home consultation well in advance of moving and closing deadlines so that we can look at calendars and respective time frames.
