I traveled to my hometown of Fargo, ND in early February of 2017 in order to assist my
mother whom was being released from the hospital after breaking her hip the
previous month. My father had passed away over 18 months earlier so as she returned to her
home and began the long process of physical therapy, it quickly became apparent that the
time, money and upkeep associated with a 1225 square foot house was becoming
unmanageable for her. She decided it was time to move to an assisted living facility in town
and finally move out of the home that she and my father had shared for over 30 years.
My mother had always been a meticulous housekeeper but over the course of time, her
home had become filled with not only many memories but a wide assortment of furniture and
assorted items obtained over the years from family, friends, and numerous antique sales.
Knowing I would never be able to set up and conduct a proper sale of the entire household
contents myself, I began searching for a viable Estate Sale company in the Fargo area. I was
initially able to sign a contract with what at first appeared to be an experienced and
knowledgeable person but who ultimately ended up demonstrating not only very poor
communication skills, but in the end did not follow through with me in conducting the sale on
the agreed upon date.
I next turned to Detailed Home Solutions and its owner, Ingrid Olson. I was in a bit of a panic
when first contacting her as it was less than two weeks from the dates I wanted to conduct the
sale, but Ingrid quickly put me at ease. She toured my mother’s house and calmly estimated
the time and work necessary to prepare for the sale. Her considerable organizational and
time management skills quickly became apparent as that same day, she went right to work
cleaning out closets and cupboards throughout the house. For the next twelve days, Ingrid
and her team worked diligently in preparing the house and garage. Many days they were in
the house until midnight or later. When the Friday before the day of the sale arrived, they had
successfully transformed my mother’s property into an expansive display of attractively
positioned household goods. In addition, Ingrid applied an aggressive marketing campaign
encompassing local print ads, social media ads, and a literal blanket of signs and flyers in
Fargo itself. I was impressed with her effort and attention to detail.
The sale was a great success, directly due to the hard work and dedication of Detailed Home
Solutions. Ingrid quickly gained my total trust and confidence in the handling and sale of my
mother’s goods and I’m convinced that it would have been a mistake on my part to go with
any other company. Ingrid Olson’s integrity, professionalism, and experience was invaluable

I have known Ingrid for 20 years... I first met her and her husband when they moved their family to the Fargo/Moorhead area...I was their real estate agent.
Now that her children are older, Ingrid has started a business of organizing people's homes and guiding them in selling their possessions.... Ingrid has done everything from organizing and setting up estate sales, to coordinating the moving of furniture, to the very important cleaning of the property and disposing of items that didn't sell. She sees it through from start to finish.
The qualities that I appreciate in Ingrid are many....first of all, Ingrid treats each project as if they were her own possessions she is dealing with... she exhibits great care.
